"They were quick to give me a quote, they explained the process and what type of primer and paint they would use, they double checked what color we wanted before buying the paint. From my first call to completion of the project only took a little over a week! They were also the least expensive quote we received. Will definitely use their services again!"

"Mr. Moyer is truly a professional and did such a great job repairing the damage.    During the process, I had one area that required drywall over an area that was to cover the pipes coming from the upstairs sink.    He noticed a drop of water on the drywall and I had to have plumber come out to repair the water leak under the sink.    It was such a subtle leak, but definitely needed repair prior to completing the job which could have caused more damage down the road if not detected.    He did an excellent clean up job as well once he completed the work."

"Cindy recently completed a project involving my half-bath which required some dry-wall patching and getting the walls in paint ready shape before she could paint. She charged a fair price and was willing to work with my schedule. She was concerned enough about the mirror she hung in the bathroom to return and make it more secure. What once was a disaster is now a fresh new looking bathroom."

"I had purchased an Angies List Coupon in May knowing I would have my decke and shutters done this summer. Mr. Kiss came out promptly and gave me an estimate of charges to do the work and a time-frame to do it . in the meantime I got 3 other estimates from more local painting contractors and prices came in about $300 lower. I was in a quandry as how to handle this as I had already purchased the $199 coupon and his price was $300 higher. I called Mr. Kiss and explained the situation that I didnt want to waste the $199 and if he would match the other estimates. He explained to me why his price may be higher with quality, service and customer satisfaction being some of the factors. To my delight he agreed to match the other estimates and I must say his man Robert came out and performed an outstanding job on our deck and shutters and would surely use his company again. I would caution people to get your estimates first before purchasing a coupon so you would not have the same experience as I.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

There can be too much of a good thing when it comes to accent walls, so avoid creating one in every room in your house. Some rooms, like bathrooms and kitchens, don’t naturally lend themselves to accent walls, so it’s best to skip them there. Of course, your home should reflect your own sense of style, so if accent walls in multiple rooms appeal to you, there’s no hard-and-fast rule forbidding it.

It is less costly to paint than wallpaper when you only consider the upfront cost. Wallpaper costs $320 to $820 when applied by a pro, while paint only costs $200 to $700 per room. However, when comparing wallpaper versus paint, consider the long-term as well. Wallpaper can save you money over time since it has a much longer life span than paint.

You should be aware of the current wallpaper and interior trends before hanging it, especially if you are planning on selling or listing your home soon. Do people in your market tend to prefer bold designs and accent walls, or does having a simpler print all over seem like a better idea? Lastly, you want something that appeals to your aesthetic preferences; hanging wallpaper is an investment of your time and money after all.

To layer wallpaper over wallpaper, inspect your existing wallpaper for problem areas. Damaged wallpaper should not be covered. If it’s okay to proceed, prep by turning off the electricity and removing any outlet and switch covers. Dust your walls and lightly rinse them to prevent the existing paper from peeling. Apply primer, then apply your new wallpaper.

Walls should be as smooth as possible before applying peel-and-stick wallpaper. Although you technically can apply wallpaper on textured walls, the peel-and-stick variety won’t last long without a clean, smooth surface for the adhesive to stick to. If you have textured walls, consult a pro about removing the textured finish before moving forward with wallpaper.
