HBH Repair And Service is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Heath B Howell. The company policy is that any repair over $400 requires 50% down at the time of the estimate, upon customer approval. Upon customer approval, a written service contract will be offered. Any and all portions of the written contract will be adhered to and HBH Repair And Service has the right to terminate the service contract at any time. A detailed invoice will be provided to the customer at the time the service is completed, and the customer is expected to pay any and all remaining balances due at the time the invoice is issued. Payment can be made with cash, personal check, money order, cashier's check, or credit/debit card. If the balance is not paid at the time the service is completed, after 30 days another invoice will be mailed to the customer with an additional 10% added to the balance. If after the next 30 days the balance remains unpaid, court proceedings will be filed with New Philadelphia Municipal Court for the collection of any remaining balance, in addition to another 10% and any fees deemed by the court to be paid by the customer.

Hartville Hardware is a Home Center unlike any other. With 7 acres under roof, it is the largest independently owned hardware/home center in the U.S. Featuring an 1850 Sq. Ft. idea house that was built almost entirely out of products that were made in the U.S.A., Hartville Hardware is so much more than a hardware store, it is a destination where you will find everything you need for your home improvement needs. Other key areas include a brand new Farm and Pet area that has feed for your cat, your horse, or your alpaca and many more unique animal feed and care products. Hartville Hardware is also home of one the largest woodworking and power tool showrooms in the country. For your outdoor needs, we have an outdoor power area that showcases John Deere, Stihl, Ventrac and more! On the back of the store is a three lane drive-thru lumber yard so you can pick up and pay for your building supplies under roof. Additional phone number - (330) 877-3631. Cost is determined by the job.

Lawn Tool Repair questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can tip a lawn mower on its side as long as you turn it with the carburetor side upwards. This prevents oil from leaking into the carburetor and reducing performance. You can also tip the mower backward as long as it's stable while you're working on the deck or blades for safety.

A standard home lawn mower with sharp blades can handle a thin layer of leaves without issue. You may need to make a couple of passes within several days to mulch leaves down, but your mower shouldn’t struggle. If your mower comes with a mulching kit, like an attachment to blow leaves out the side, that’s a good sign it’s ready for fall leaves. Set your mower to the highest or near-highest height for this project so it focuses on the leaves rather than the grass below.

Lawnmowers require seasonal maintenance to continue working correctly. With routine maintenance, you can extend its life to the fullest, which is around 10 years for push mowers and 5-8 years for riding mowers. To keep your lawn mower working correctly, you’ll want to take the following steps at least once a year:

  • Replace the spark plug

  • Change the oil

  • Drain the fuel tank

  • Clean the mowing deck (ideally, after every mow)

  • Replace the air filter

  • Check the carburetor

  • Sharpen the blades

  • Fog the engine

  • Check the tires

If you are a skilled DIYer with experience, you can do certain lawn mower repairs yourself. However, if you’ve never worked on a lawn mower before or if your mower needs extensive repairs, it’s best to let a skilled lawn mower technician work on your machine. While it might be a little more expensive due to the cost of labor, nothing beats knowing that the job was done successfully (and often with warranties).

Repair costs range from $50 to $400, depending on issue severity, part replacements, and labor.
