"We moved into a rental property where the previous occupants smoked and had pets. After having the carpets cleaned there was still an odor. We contacted A+ Xpress and they suggested that we also have the Air Ducts cleaned out and sealed. That was the best decision that we ever made. We have never had this serves done before and was a little reluctant to do. However now there is no Oder in the home, less dust to clean, and our daughter who has asthma says that she even feels better. This is something that we will do each year from now on.

"Bobby was a true pro. He was always in time and when he had to stop to pick up supplies he would call me and let me know that he would be delayed and why. He communicated very well. He did a shower install, water heater replacement, bathroom vanities, painting, drywall repairs, hung interior and exterior doors, installed gutters and even poured new concrete stairs on the front of my house."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Poured-in-place terrazzo flooring is more durable than tile. In fact, it’s one of the most durable types of flooring on the market. It can last anywhere from 40 to 100 years, depending on maintenance. On average, you can expect your terrazzo floor to last about 75 years, but you will have to make repairs as needed.

You can technically install tile over tile, but we don’t suggest it. Installing tile over any surface that isn’t a completely flat and prepared subfloor will result in a shoddy overall job, uneven flooring, tiles that don’t adhere, extra weight, gaps, cracks, and room for moisture and dirt to enter. For the best results, only install new tile on a flat, sanded surface like subflooring or concrete that is prepared for tile.

If you have asbestos tile and would rather tile over it than remove it, or if your existing tile is completely flat and bonded tightly to the floor, you may be able to tile over existing tile. But experts recommend thinking twice before you do.

Removing old tiles can be more complicated, but it can also be more manageable, depending on your circumstances. Typically, old tile is hard to remove because the adhesive had loads of time to bond with your wall, becoming a formidable foe between you and your new tile installation project. On the other hand, old tile in high-traffic areas can become loose, making it much easier to remove.

Once cracks appear, it is hard to stop tiles from cracking more. If the cause of the problem is improper subflooring, underlying concrete, improper tile joint sizes, mold growth, or structural issues, the only way to stop floor tiles from cracking is to redo the entire floor, fixing the underlying issues first. If cracks occur after impact damage, hiring a professional tile contractor to replace the cracked tiles, fix loose floor tiles, and restore the grout around them can prevent further damage. It is also important to keep your tile and grout clean and maintained to prolong its life.

You can purchase natural stone tiles from your local home improvement store or stone distributor.

Simply put, natural stone flooring is a high-end style that outlasts its wood and carpet counterparts. After finding a style you love, a stone flooring company near you can help source and install them for a reliably clean look.
