"This is the second time I have used them. Once again they did a phenomenal job!! I would give 10 stars if I could. Not only did they install new drywall in my garage but repaired the ceiling and then primed and painted. I can’t praise them enough and the job that they do. True professionals fair price and great people. Trevor you and your team nicked it out of the park AGAIN!!!! I added some before photos as well as the completed job😁"

"I Can't say enough good things about this company. Big company expertise with that small personal feel from a small company. I initially reached out over some power issues but had to put it off after discovering a roofing issue.2 months later I contacted PBS and asked to schedule something. He gave me several time slots he could be there for a quote. He came to look and I had a few issues that he had to work around in order to hook up a new panel upgrade (moving it to another side of the house as well) and some other issues. The day of the bulk of the install proved to be very difficult for him and his crew. This project was extremely difficult and took a very long dayof work. However the crew never gave up and just keep pushing to get it done. It looks beautiful, he took great care of my house while working in it and I am deeply impressed with their work ethic. Pricing was very fair as well. Highly highly recommend this team for big and small projects!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

You can paint over old paint on a concrete porch. For the best results, you should first clean the surface and remove as much paint as you can. A power washer is helpful here, but you’ll also want to scrape as much of the old paint away as possible. Then you should prime the porch before repainting it.

Deciding whether to stain or paint a pool deck depends on your budget, desired look, and the deck's material. Both options can work. Paint offers a wider variety of color options, provides excellent water resistance, and can last longer. However, it requires a primer and can eventually fade or peel. Stain is often cheaper, easier to apply, and penetrates the wood for a more natural look and longer-lasting finish. It also has great water resistance. The downsides are fewer color options and the need for a sealant. The choice can also depend on the deck material; for example, staining may be a better option for concrete as it bonds well and lasts longer than paint.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood to help prevent the boards from cracking. However, you must wait for the wood to dry out completely before applying any finish. Freshly treated wood can take weeks or even months to dry; a common recommendation is to wait three to six months. To check if the wood is ready, perform a simple water test: drip some water onto the surface. If the water beads up, the wood is still too wet and needs more time to dry. If the wood absorbs the water, it is dry enough to be painted or stained. You can proceed with building your deck or fence while the wood is still wet, but you will need to wait to apply the paint or stain.

An exterior paint job typically lasts between 5 and 10 years, though this can range from 3 to 17 years depending on several factors. The longevity is influenced by the quality of the paint and primer, the quality of the application, the local climate, and the type of surface being painted. For example, paint on wood siding may need to be redone every 3 to 7 years, while painted brick can last up to 17 years. Aluminum siding often needs repainting every 5 years.

The best way to protect a deck is to prevent damage from UV light, water, mold, mildew, insects, and abrasive cleaning methods. Sweep regularly to prevent debris that hides bugs and traps moisture that can result in mold or mildew growth. Use a deck cleaner once a year to remove algae, mold, and mildew. Avoid using pressure washers on high, as they can damage the wood. Applying a deck sealant can protect the wood from UV and water damage, and adding shade can also reduce sunlight damage.
