"I had a great experience with Salgau Roofing! I received three estimates on my roof, and Salgau was the middle estimate. The largest estimate was $4,000 more than Salgau. And when they came out the man was very condescending and spoke down to me and my adult daughter, who was visiting from Texas (she's an RN). He admonished me and told me my roof should have been replaced 5 years ago. ---I already knew my roof was bad......THAT'S WHY HE WAS THERE! When he left, my daughter and I felt like scolded children, so I decided I did not want to give them my money. The lower estimate was $1,500 lower. I received the estimate 3 days later than they said I would. (Three days isn't unreasonable, but a quick message saying it would take longer would have been appreciated). The estimate wasn't an itemized proposal, but one paragraph with a price. When I asked questions it took awhile for them to respond, and I felt like they were hard to get a hold of. I looked up their address which was a bit deceiving, because their Suite # is actually a PO box number, and I felt if I needed to get a hold of them after the job was done that it may be difficult. I asked about a warranty and he said there was a one year warranty on labor. (Salgau has a 10 year warranty on labor, and a limited lifetime warranty from Owens Corning on the shingles) When Corey (from Salgau) came out he was kind and professional. He sent an itemized estimate that same day. Salgau's estimate was the only one that included pictures of my roof. I went back and forth asking questions and Corey always replied promptly. I apologized for asking some dumb questions, and he made sure to tell me none of my questions were dumb and to 'ask away' making sure I understood everything and was comfortable with the whole process. I had a full tear down and replacement, and I can't believe it was done in one day (very hard workers)! -Except the copper flashing on my chimney, which was done the next morning. That same day I received the receipt, the labor warranty, and the info for the Owens Corning warranty---which Corey also helped me with. When they were done they cleaned up. My yard, driveway, and walkway looked better than it did before they started! My neighbors have complimented my new roof. And, for the first time ever, I looked forward to the rain that was forecasted yesterday....my leaky roof no longer leaks! :) I am so happy with my new roof, and very comfortable with my decision to choose Salgau. I highly recommend Salgau Roofing. And thank you especially to Corey. He was part of the whole process from start to finish. I've attached pictures....I'm sure I don't need to tell you which are the before and afters."

"Isaiah and his crew were fantastic. They were hired to finish drywall that my wife and I hung. Pros: - Isaiah and his team took great care to cover everything properly before starting work and clean up after the completion of the job. - The crew fixed a few things I screwed up during the hanging process but did not change the quoted price. - The job was performed in mid-July and my house is in a swamp, so it took longer than expected for the finishing compounds to dry. Rather than rush the job, the crew took their time and allowed full drying before the next layer. Cons: - None!"

"Recommending THE PAINT CREW from Waterville for home painting. I have only used them for exterior (so far) but, based on their performance, will be contracting them to do my interior as well. These guys have HIGH integrity and know their stuff. From the moment they showed up to size up the job and pointed out details that I would not have known about, I knew they were a thorough operation. Their price was competitive; but what set them apart was their extreme patience with me as I changed my mind several times re colors. Their mantra was, "we want you to be happy". They repainted my shutters twice. I don't advocate torturing contractors this way, but truly, these guys worked with me to get exactly what I wanted, and were pleasant all the way through. The job was done in a timely manner, and I feel like they went above and beyond to make the job look great. They caulked, they sanded, they alerted us to a gas leak that we did not know about, they pointed out a defect in our (recent) roofing; they even painted the screws of the shutters to make sure everything matched. We are very happy with the company and the service they provided. I don't typically tip contractors, but I gave these guys a tip to show my appreciation for their very personal service and attention."

"I paid Mr. Phomalee $1275 to do some bathroom remodeling work that he'd initially stated he'd be able to begin between Christmas and New Years this past December. After not showing up at that time, he proceeded to promise that work would begin on eight separate dates, missing all of them. During this time I received no communication from Mr. Phomalee unless I initiated it, and when I did he made an excuse related to his vehicle or family each time. Finally, I informed Mr. Phomalee that I needed him to return the funds paid to him as it had become clear he had no intention of doing the work for which he had been contracted. He informed me at that time that his previous excuses had been lies, that he had used the money I'd paid him for gambling, and that he most recently had not been able to due the work because he'd been trying to secure a loan to cover "the bad checks [he] had written to gamble so [he] didn't go to jail". So, I'm now in a position where I've had an unusable shower for two months, and will be forced to seek legal action against Mr. Phomalee to attempt to recover my money."
