"I am sure that all positive reviews for this company are fake. Nothing that was promised to me was delivered. My siding project is still ongoing for over 1 month. Was told that it would be done in week. Had one rain day. They have system like this: 1) sales person who never installed anything he will promise you things that obviously are not true, 2) crew that is subcontracted but not Gunner, mine was driving for over 2 hours away, 3) person who oversees the project but has little control over anything, no supply, doesn't know the crew, crew does not listen to him, main office does not listen to him, 4) main office does not reply to you. They just tell me to talk to project manager who has no control. So you understand that if there are any issue you are on your own. Quality or work is not good. Many times I had to point to the crew what's wrong, planks are broken yet they were still installing it, caulking is done they way that I can do it better, they cut wires to awning etc"

We provide residential maintenance, repair and remodeling services, specializing in emergency plumbing & heating installation and repair, basement finishing and kitchen/bathroom remodels.

"I paid Mr. Phomalee $1275 to do some bathroom remodeling work that he'd initially stated he'd be able to begin between Christmas and New Years this past December. After not showing up at that time, he proceeded to promise that work would begin on eight separate dates, missing all of them. During this time I received no communication from Mr. Phomalee unless I initiated it, and when I did he made an excuse related to his vehicle or family each time. Finally, I informed Mr. Phomalee that I needed him to return the funds paid to him as it had become clear he had no intention of doing the work for which he had been contracted. He informed me at that time that his previous excuses had been lies, that he had used the money I'd paid him for gambling, and that he most recently had not been able to due the work because he'd been trying to secure a loan to cover "the bad checks [he] had written to gamble so [he] didn't go to jail". So, I'm now in a position where I've had an unusable shower for two months, and will be forced to seek legal action against Mr. Phomalee to attempt to recover my money."

Subcontracting is not something Smith's does unless needed. My company also specializes in benefits for Veteran's and Seniors. For all jobs I do ask for half the contracted payment to be paid before the job is started, an the other half to be paid at the time of completion. There is also available options for a payment plan, but same as the full payment option half of the contracted billing cost must be paid before the start of the job. For the the security of the business and for the home owner all jobs that are to be contracted with my company will have fully legal binding contracts for either full payment or payment plans an for the work that is done by Smith' s quality home repair &remodeling. (He was busy fishing and hunting) The concrete is wavy, not level, not square. The finish is supposed to be smooth. It is filled with swirl marks. I could go on and on. I questioned him about all of these things along the way and got nothing but excuses and lies. I've talked to other contractors and the reason bottom feeders like this are even in business is because the good ones are booked months in advance. Choose any company other then this one and you will be better off."

"On July 27, 2022 we contracted Residential Renovations (RR) to repair a portion of our roof that was leaking near the chimney. We also had them make enhancements to our roof/ventilation configuration to eliminate ice damns. The ventilation changes worked well and we did not experience any ice issues during the winter. The leaking portion of the roof is the issue. It states clearly in the contract the nature of the necessary repairs. The roof continued to leak throughout the winter. We contacted Scott (the owner) in January 2023 and he informed us that the repairs would be covered under warranty work. The roof was eventually fixed in March 2023. Additionally, it was disturbing to learn that those who worked on the roof knew exactly where the issue was located and commented to that point. The leak caused our ceiling to become stained and requiring repair. We have continued to contact Scott for resolution. After numerous attempts to schedule the repair, and multiple sub-contractors (appointed by Scott) the agreed upon ceiling repairs have not been completed."
