"Luke contacted me quickly and the job was completed quickly. They did a great job removing two dead pine trees at a very reasonable cost. Great clean up afterward too and Luke arranged a stump grinder for us. Highly recommend Luke and his company and we will use again for additional tree services."

Small jobs welcome

"I am absolutely blown away at the professionalism from these young men. I called and booked an estimate with them and they came same day. They quoted me a great price and really worked with me to make sure I was getting the most for my money. They were able to come the next day to mow, put down new mulch in my flower beds and removed a few nuisance shrubs I had. I will 100% be contacting them again and telling everyone about them! keep up the great work!"

"The crew was fantastic. Very personable, good attitudes! I will hire them again. It was like they were never here, except my tree being gone and some trees all trimmed up. They picked up all the mess. Thank you!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Generally, homeowners do not need permission to cut down a tree on their own private property, but there are several exceptions where a permit may be required. You might need a permit if the tree is particularly large, old, or a protected species, such as a heritage tree. Trees located near public property or power lines can also be subject to special rules. Additionally, many local governments and homeowners associations (HOAs) have regulations controlling which trees can be removed to manage an area's appearance or prevent the spread of invasive species. To avoid hefty fines, it is crucial to check with your local government and HOA to determine if a permit is needed before you begin.

Trees aren't big fans of moving, and they do go into shock during a transplant. Although most carefully thought-out tree transplants see the tree recover from the shock just fine, there is always a risk of having an unsuccessful move. Proper preparation, timing, and diligent aftercare are crucial to minimize the risks when transplanting a tree.

Pruning is an effective way to prevent a diseased branch from infecting the rest of the tree. If the infection isn’t caught early enough and the pathogen has spread to the trunk or the majority of the branches though, it is too late to prune off the affected areas and you’ll likely need to remove the tree.

Whether you should remove the roots of a dead tree depends on whether they’re damaging nearby areas. For instance, if the roots continue to grow near sidewalks, driveways, or the foundation of your home, they can cause damage. If you want to plant something else in that spot, removing the roots can make it easier for the new tree or plant to grow.

If it’s only a smaller branch that has died and you’re keeping an eye on the tree, it’s probably nothing to worry about. But if other nearby branches start dying off as well, or a very large branch dies, then you likely have a bigger problem. It’s time to watch for diseases and other problems and possibly get professional guidance on how to proceed.
