"Awful…. I wouldn’t even leave them a star if I could, But since that’s not an option, one star it is. The job was not completed and the company was not good. My elderly mother asked for half of her backyard to get the leaves removed. The company came started the leaf removal by putting all the leaves on her patio where she lets her dog out to the backyard. It started to snow and got nasty outside, so they said that they were gonna come back and finish another day. She gave them $400. They agreed upon price and then she was gonna pay them another hundred dollars for the removal of the leaves in a few days. They came back four months later and finally picked the leaves up off of her porch that she’d been rumbling through all winter long. And then he proceeded to send her another bill for $342. My elderly mother is on a fixed income. This is elderly abuse at its finest and he did an awful job. So now my mom is sending them $25 a month until her bill is paid off. Remember, she asked for half of her yard to get done $742 ridiculous. When my mother called and asked about the bill they sent in the mail. The guy got s***** with her and said that he had to pay his guys for going back out. Remember people this is four months later . He told her that if she didn’t pay him the extra $342 that he was gonna drop the leaves back off at her house …. So rude and disgusting to treat anyone this way."

Pavers and Hardscaping questions, answered by experts

Pavers last longer than both concrete and asphalt when well cared for. Since you can place individual pavers that suffer damage, you won't need to repave the entire driveway for an average of up to 50 years. However, the best material for you comes down to your local climate and budget.

Cobblestone driveways can take a major hit on anyone's bank account, begging the question of whether it's worth it to build a cobblestone driveway. Some homeowners might prefer more affordable driveway materials like concrete or pavers, which can give a similar appearance to cobblestone without the high price tag.

Paving your driveway costs between $2,500 and $6,600, to put that in perspective. But for others, there’s nothing quite like the timeless look of cobblestone driveways.

Pavers are a type of permeable hardscape that can be used for driveways, patios, walkways, and other landscaping features. Unlike poured concrete or asphalt, pavers typically have a layer of gravel underneath to prevent water runoff from damaging your property—though you can also lay pavers on grass. Because pavers are installed piece by piece, you can customize a one-of-a-kind hardscape that best suits your aesthetics, boosting your curb appeal along the way.

While it may be less expensive initially to lay concrete vs. pavers, the long-term expenses that come with repairing concrete may prove to be less cost-friendly than simply replacing a few damaged pavers. On top of that, stamped concrete may only last for 25 years compared to pavers, which can last over 50 years.

Interlocking pavers can last 50 years or more, but you’ll need to keep up with some basic routine maintenance to get the most out of them. This includes regularly applying a sealant and keeping up with any weeds that start to grow within them. Avoid metal shovels in the winter, and only salt the pavers ahead of snow and ice if the pavers are part of a necessary walking path—salt and other chemical-based de-icers can take a toll on your pavers over time.
