"GES has been doing our lawn mowing, fertilizing, shrub trimming, tree trimming and leaf removal for two years. I could not be more pleased. They are dependable, flexible and do excellent work. They always leave a well groomed and beautiful lawn. Always friendly and personable. My wife and I have always taken great pride in the appearance of our lawn. When the time came we could no longer do the work, it was wonderful to have the people at GES step in and do an amazing job."

"These guys are great! Couldnâ t be happier with their work. I had them come out to do a late fall yard clean up including leaf removal, final mow, and edging. It made such a difference. They were very easy to work with. Highly recommend!"

"I have a two story house that badly needed power washed since it had been years since the last time. The house now looks great along with the porch, sidewalks, and patio. Deon’s hard work is much appreciated. Deon was professional, kind, polite and I wish him much success!"

"Corey and his staff were great. They did an amazing job and were courtesy and receptive to our needs. We originally hired Corey just for the patio work but then due to our satisfaction with that job, we hired him for our fence project as well as the removal of a few trees, replacement of screens and some rotten wood panels on our screened in patio and laying down a flagstone walkway on the side of our home. We look to hire him again in the future for other miscellaneous projects. I would highly recommend Fletcher's!"

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

When starting the engine, you typically leave the choke on a snowblower in the "choke" or "closed" position. After starting, let the engine run for a few minutes to warm up. Then, gradually open the choke, moving it to the "open" or "run" position, allowing more air into the engine and transitioning to a normal fuel-air mixture. The exact duration varies based on the snowblower model and ambient temperature, but as a general rule, you should open the choke once the engine has stabilized and runs smoothly, typically within a few minutes.

Snowblowers are some of the best tools for snow removal because they remove large amounts of snow quickly without bodily harm or damaging your deck. If your snowblower can fit on your deck, it’s a good first line of defense to remove snow quickly and easily. If you don’t have a snowblower, a plastic shovel with a rubber blade is another good choice to remove snow on a deck.

Clearing snow from your roof can be a tedious and time-consuming job. Even so, it is extremely important to maintain your roof during the winter months. You can help prevent ice dams and avoid roof collapse.

As a side note, rather than shoveling your roof, you should always use a roof rake to modify the job. Otherwise, call in a professional.

Removing snow from your roof can help prevent ice dams, but the best thing to do is address insulation issues in your attic. If you do decide to remove the snow manually, you should always use a roof rake rather than a shovel. You shouldn’t climb your snowy roof in any circumstance, and roof rake allows you to remove the snow from the ground or a ladder. For the best results, remove snow as soon as possible after it falls.

Heavy amounts of snow could be a problem. In many climates, lots of snow on your rooftop can lead to freeze-thaw cycle that create ice dams, which can damage rooftops. But if you’re using shingle clips, this snow poses an additional problem: As it melts and freezes, it can easily dislodge clips you’ve placed on your roof.

You can clean snow off your roof after a fresh snowfall while it’s still lightweight, but brushing off snow can also dislodge your clips. If you get a lot of snow, then roof clips become less viable.
