"We purchased our home last year. One of the selling points was the large stone fireplace, which was listed as having a new liner installed just before the house went on the market. Much to our chagrin, when we lit our first fire, smoke came into the living room. We called a company out to inspect the fireplace and learned that the wrong liner had been installed. The fireplace is wood burning, but had a gas start and the liner installed was the size for a gas fireplace. We called our realtor and she was able to procure the invoice for the work from the previous homeowner. The work had been done by Fireplace Professionals. We had little hope of avoiding a costly repair, but decided to call to find out if the company would work with us. Jerry came out to take a look at the work. He indicated that the wrong liner was indeed put in place. He also agreed to make it right, even though it was the previous homeowner who had contracted his company. Honestly, I was shocked. I really thought he would tell us that since we didn't work with his company on the install that they could not help us. It is rare in this day and age to find someone who will stand behind their work in this manner. Jerry worked with us to schedule a date. Chris and the other gentleman who came out were prompt, polite, and professional. They made quick work of the demo and Jerry himself came out the next day to complete the install. As it turned out, a custom liner was needed as our fireplace is an irregular shape. Jerry schedule a new date with us to complete the work. He made the custom liner and called us when it was ready, which was a week earlier than promised. The work is completed and we couldn't be happier or more grateful. I am impressed by the integrity of this company, their willingness to make things right, and their excellent customer service. Jerry took a misunderstanding that wasn't even with us and made things right. We are very pleased with our fireplace and look forward to many crackling fires."
