"Wanted a recurring cleaning of my house, done every four weeks. First step was to get a Deep Clean of the house. Agreed to have it done and the team that did it was excellent. Efficient use of time and was truly a deep clean. Based upon watching the deep clean happen, efficient and professional, i decided to go with Hall-Mark for my recurring cleaning. Thus far, all goes very well with my choice of cleaning pros."

"This company is fantastic. I had a mess in a home we bought to rehab. These folks cleaned the ducts, but saved me $4,000+ dollars on various things they found that were serious issues, that were not related to the ducts. Even found a place where a previous installer for my water heater set me up for a fire. These folks are fantastic. $700 cleaning, $3300 saved!!!!"

"This company came out and cleaned a property that was going up for sale so my husband could get some really great Real Estate photos! They were friendly , professional and very thorough with the cleaning .There was no trace of dust or debris left anywhere when they done which was miraculous because this home had recently been remodeled. "I would definitely recommend Advanced the cleaning services because they are fantastic. Well worth the money which was not expensive it goes by how big your home is. But I got to see for myself the pictures of how bad my air ducts were so dirty. The owners before me never clean their air ducts, so I was breathing in all that dirt and dust, and all that stuff was nasty. After it was cleaned, he showed me the pictures of it, and I was amazed of the Difference, well worth the money definitely recommend them they were on time and the fact they were early and it was great and I am on the schedule to be done in another year because I have animals that live in the home. It smells so much better they put a sanitizer which also keeps mold, mildew down you would want to have clean air in your home."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Vinegar, bleach, chlorine, barley straw, and a bevy of dedicated algaecides can kill algae, which is the easy part. Preventing algae from returning can be a struggle for some homeowners, but keeping the patio well-maintained and clean is a good first step.

To keep your PVC roof in top condition, keep it clear of debris, ensure drainage systems are working properly, and inspect it for damage regularly. Keeping the roof clear of ponding water, sharp debris, and other hazards will prevent damage. Have your roof inspected by a professional once a year to ensure the seams aren’t damaged or separated—faulty seams can lead to destructive water intrusion.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

Soft washing chemicals typically consist of a mix of sodium hypochlorite (or a chemical component of bleach) and water. While sodium hypochlorite and bleach are often thought to be the same thing, there is one small but key difference between the two: sodium hypochlorite comes in powdered rather than liquid form, which means that it’s also more concentrated and more effective from less product overall.

Roof cleaning isn’t a necessity, but it can drastically improve your home’s curb appeal and even prolong the life of your roof, so it’s often a great investment. It’s especially a good idea if shaded parts of your roof experience algae or moss growth, which can damage the shingles and hold water against them, increasing the risk of a roof leak.
