"I used them based on the recommendation of a friend and because of the appeal of using one company to replace my porch slab and install my egress window. in hindsight that was an extremely regrettable decision. I paid deposit for both jobs 6/8/21. after several delays work didn't start on the porch until 10/11/21. they said my foundation was bad (which i believe was probably true) and that it would be another $8,300+. i approved. they had to dig out the front steps and a section of the sidewalk when digging to replace the foundation. they didn't measure the existing step or sidewalk before removing it and then got frustrated with me that i made them expand the forms they made 2x until it was the exact dimensions of what they replaced. it isn't my job to measure the steps & sidewalk. a professional company should be thinking of that and handling it. i'm just glad i randomly had pics of the step with the exact measurements. 11/8/21 the porch work was done and I was told they would likely install the egress a week later and it would take 2 days start to finish for the egress. Please keep in mind I paid the deposit for the egress and the porch 6/8/21. 11/28/21 i’m told they have to check on the window and they’ll get back to me. 12/8/21 I haven’t heard anything so I check in again. I’m now told they wont have the window until 1/21/22. I’m thinking this must be the most specialized part in the world. Since they were going to tear our yard up for the egress window, it was never put back together after the porch and foundation replacement so all winter long my yard was a complete eye sore mud pit with a large pile of dirt in it. 2/4/22 I’m told the window has finally arrived. I don’t hear anything until I reach out again 3/1/22 when I’m essentially told “soon”. 3/8/22 I reach out because snow is melting on the brand new porch slab and the water is running toward the house. To his credit, the owner came right over to inspect the porch, admitted they installed it wrong, and stepped up by replacing it at no extra cost to me. the 2nd porch slab replacement took a bit and was very sloppily done. Corners were cut the 2nd time around. For example, they didn’t remove the 3 porch support posts the 2nd time like they did the first time. They got concrete all over the siding and even the ceiling of the porch (we learned that doesn’t come off with a power washer). They were very sloppy where the porch meets the house on one side and just left a half inch gap. It was clear at this point we were dead money and an afterthought. The tear out happened relatively quickly but the re-pour of the porch didn’t happen until 5/4/22. When the egress finally starts I see the window that took 6 months to arrive. I promise you it is the least unique window in the world. Its just a window. I could have gone into any store and bought this window without waiting 6 months. There is nothing special about it. The window should have been ordered 6/8/21 and it wasn’t and then they got caught up waiting. They took several weeks to remove the temporary porch supports that were installed for the 2nd porch slab replacement. When they finally put our yard back together it was just the most cheapskate way possible and they never came back and sealed the porch slab. After 3 weeks (6/3/22) I reach out again asking when we can expect the last few loose ends with the porch to be tied up. Without any word or progress, I reached back out 6/27/22 letting them know its been 54 days since the porch was poured and it hadn’t been sealed yet. I’m told they haven’t forgotten about it. 7/22/22 I have not heard anything else or had anyone come back to seal the porch slab. I reach back out about it. I get no response at all. 9/8/22 I call and leave a message to ask when the porch will be sealed. I get a text back saying they will eventually re-seal the porch. As of 10/10/22 when writing this it has been 159 days since they re-poured the porch slab and I have not had anyone show back up to complete the work. I have not had anyone call or text since 9/9 to provide any follow up or updates. I felt compelled to write this after some poor lady in my town posted her horror story with them in the town facebook group. I paid sandstone over $25,000 and can’t get them to complete the job. It is truly shameful. I did not deserve this. I could not ever consider using them again. Hands down my worst experience ever dealing with a contractor."

Our team has over 20 years of construction, remodeling, and related experience in residential and light commercial projects. Additional DBA - Przbuilders.com. Additional Contact Name - Christopher Przela. Additional Email - [email protected].
"My husband and I purchased an awning for a backyard deck, to be placed above the patio door. The awning we purchased thru Amazon. While looking for an installer on Angi we found PRZ Builders. We called Chris, set up an appointment for a quote. We found Chris to be professional, personable and knowledgeable. Because of storms that kept building on northeast Ohio, it took a few days longer than anticipated for installation. Chris and his crew showed up on time with a wonderful attitude and ready to work. When the installation was complete all work areas were clear of debris and any moving of outdoor furniture was placed back. Chris returned the next day to do a final inspection of his crew's work and address any last minute questions. I do not hesitate to recommend PRZ Builders to my family. They deserve 5 stars!"

"Buyer Beware. Tony is very personable. His quote was competitive with others but we chose him because of his personality, and his promises to do right by us and not to nickel and dime us along the way. First... Timing. The original proposal estimated completion within 4-6 weeks. Upon further discussions we learned that certain things may cause delay. Expressing concerns on an unending project - we agreed to a firm 12 week deadline. The start date was initially pushed back 3 weeks as they were behind. Once the eventually started, it took 30 (!!!) weeks for completion. There were several weeks where they just didn't show up with no communication. We'd leave our house unlocked expecting them... only to find no one showed up. When we reached out we'd get no response. Or eventually we'd get some excuse that another project was given priority but we would be given priority next? Communication: We were very specific in the contract and the provided plans with certain expectations and followed up repeatedly with in person conversations; however, mistakes kept happening. For instance we wanted the shower drain placed in a certain spot - it was not done that way. We wanted the tile laid in a certain layout - it was not done that way. etc. etc. etc. Some things we let slide - others were reluctantly corrected. Cleanliness: I repeatedly requested that plastic or tarps be put down which was never done. The flooring on my stairs is absolutely ruined from the workers walking up/down several times a day in their dirty/dusty shoes. We are paying over $1k to have this flooring replaced (which was like new when the project started). Final Bill: Our contract indicated that there would be no work involving extra costs without a signed work order. After the project was finally complete, we immediately made the final payment per the contract. I was expecting a small residual invoice for material upgrades but a couple weeks later I was surprised with an exorbitant bill for work in excess of contract. When I questioned the line items, Tony became very defensive and when he began yelling in front of my small children I asked him to leave. He subsequently apologized for his behavior and provided a much reduced invoice. We responded to the revised invoice that there were still inaccuracies and requested additional support. After multiple requests for additional support, he acknowledged that the revised invoice he had sent was inaccurate and that he would be sending us yet another revised invoice – which we received via email the next day. This was yet again WRONG! Rather than continuing the back and forth, I sent a payment for the amounts we agreed on (~$3.5K) and included a detailed outline of the amounts that we continued to dispute (~$2K) as inaccurate charges. We received no response or further support of the disputed amount. We have now received a letter from an attorney on behalf of Kabir Enterprises for this outstanding amount - threatening a lien against our home for amounts we do not feel are owed. Please avoid the headache.... go elsewhere."

The most significant factor in knowing whether to repair or replace your dock is the extent of the damage and its age. If you have minor cracks on a few boards and the dock is less than 15 years old, it'll likely be worth repairing the damaged part. However, it's time to replace this essential water feature if you have significant damage, such as rotting wood in multiple areas, warps or cracks in the dock supports, or a damaged foundation.
Docks can last between 20 and 30 years, provided regular maintenance has been performed. Upkeep tasks like staining your dock annually to prevent water damage, repairing broken elements quickly, and using dock covers regularly will help extend your dock’s life. Your dock is likely nearing the end of its lifespan when it shows signs of rot, rust, and foundation damage.
The cost of repairs to your dock depends significantly on the severity and location of the damage. For minor repairs, such as replacing bumpers or patching a few cracks, you can expect to spend $100 to $800. For more extensive repairs, such as replacing decking or dock reinforcement, the cost increases to $800 to $2,000. Consult a local dock repair service to determine the estimated cost of your dock repairs.
Ideally, it's best to stain your dock once per year. Applying stain doesn't just keep it looking nice and new; it also helps extend the dock’s lifespan. Since you want to ensure water levels are at their lowest, it's best to have this project done by a professional dock repair service in the cooler autumn or early winter months.
The cost of a new dock can range from $3,000 to $30,000, depending on the extent of the project size, location, and additional features.
For example, a boat lift can range from $1,000 to $8,000. The ladder you'll need for your dock can be anywhere from $100 to $800, not including installation. In addition, the decking you'll need for your dock can cost between $15 and $30 per square foot.
