"Mr. Ramsey gave full detail about the work he performed, and provided other observations that were very helpful. He repaired the ridge vent on our roof which became loose after a wind storm."

"My wife and I are new to the Lima area and recently bought a house that we can slowly work on and build up. I was advised of the company by word of mouth and I am weird when it comes to who I hire and allow in my home. They came out and were very professional, respectful of my home and family, and I appreciated the most that not only did they repair what I had asked they went above and beyond to assist in anything else I needed. I was really glad I called them and received exactly what I was hoping for. I would gladly recommend their services to anyone and will continue to do so."

"The young men who did the work were very respectful and kind. Their work was done quickly and we were involved in the decision making from the start to finish, We now have a very nice looking front ramp and porch. We appreciate their work and their attitude towards us. It is encouraging to see young men with a good can-do attitude. We are very pleased with the work."

"Very prompt initial phone call return - has materials delivered on scheduled. Work crew very good - Hardworking from start to finish. Did not require payment until job was complete and satisfactory. Now the rain will tell the rest of the story.

UPDATE-6/6/15:

Earlier this spring, the roof began to peel and blow off. It wasn't properly secured at the edges. I called Bazell to come fix it, and they came and fiddled with it, but didn't really do much of anything helpful. Consequently, the roof has started leaking in places. He indicated to us initially that the roof should last us a good 20 years or so, but we've called and called, and he hasn't returned to really fix it. I don't think it would realistically take much more than $30 or so to repair it adequately with screws and washers."

"Codee and his team moved me from Marion to Carey, OH on June 18, 2022. They were a little bit late getting there, but that was better for me because it gave me more time to get ready for them before they got there because I was also running behind. Anyway, Codee and his team really did a great job, and they joked around and made it kind of fun, and I HATE MOVING!! We had to make 2 trips, but they were done in a timely manner. They handled my things with care, took down my curtains, took my bed and dresser apart and put them back together, and unhooked my washer and dryer and then hooked my washer back up in the new house (but I had do purchase a new plug receptacle because it was different than the plug that was on my dryer). There was a washer/dryer in the new house that I didn't need, and they even took that back to Marion for me and delivered it to the neighbor that I gave it to, WOW, how about that for service!! I was very pleased with the team, and the service was exceptional, and we had a great time. I would recommend this team/business to anyone! Bonnie B."

Deck Repair questions, answered by experts

In the majority of cases, you don’t need regulatory permission or permits to remove decking components and materials. However, the exception is if you live in or near a wildlife conservation area, which could require permits and consent prior to beginning the demolition. Check with a local regulatory agency for more information.

The most likely causes of a deck leaning to one side are damaged deck posts, soil erosion, and inadequate deck footings. If you’re not sure about the exact cause, the best option is to call a contractor who can build a deck to inspect the damage and recommend the best way forward.

A ground-level deck is a great idea for an outdoor space because it’s easy to access and doesn't require stairs or railings. You can install a ground-level deck near your home or farther away on your property. You can place a ground-level deck around a pool, fire pit, or near a view such as a lake, pond, or area of trees.

Most building codes require that railing spindles (also known as balusters) on decks or stairs be spaced no more than four inches apart. This safety standard is often called the '4-inch sphere rule,' which means a sphere with a 4-inch diameter should not be able to pass through the opening between balusters. This rule is in place to prevent small children and pets from slipping through the railing. For the same reason, the space between the bottom rail and the deck or floor surface should also be no more than four inches. As a general guideline, professionals often install three balusters per foot of railing. However, since specific requirements can vary by location, it is essential to check your local building codes to ensure compliance before starting your project.

Yes, you can draw your own deck plans in many cases. However, you must know your local building codes and be familiar with carpentry principles. Even then, it's always best to run your plans by a professional contractor with experience building decks, whether you choose to DIY some of the build or not.
