"We had multiple conversations with Roof King/Deck King on the scope of work before signing anything - to sand the entire deck, seal, and stain it. From the start, there was continuous miscommunication amongst themselves on progress and timeline. Stain/sealant was added on top of dirt and sanding fragments before sanding was even complete. This resulted in us terminating the stain/sealant piece of the listed contracted task and taking it on ourselves to ensure quality. Former exterior deck paint was left in spots where they essentially just called it quits. They left deep divots and knicks throughout deck where their crew was rushing to complete. Quality control was absent the entire length of the project along with false remediation promises. They seemed to only behave professionally when apologizing or when collecting payments. Owner responded that he would personally take care of these issues 6 weeks ago, but he has not responded to any texts or calls in the last 4 weeks."

We had originally worked with Matt back in 2019, and finally in the Spring of 2025 were able to begin the project. Every step of the way was very well executed. We built a very large screened porch with some tricky roof integrations which required the utmost skill and confidence. Everything was done exceeding our expectations and we loved working with the team at River Mill. The build team was incredibly conscientious while working around our home, they would spend extra time sealing off the work areas to limit dust and debris, cleaned up their workspace daily, and were "Meticulous" about their craft. I felt as though they put the same care and effort as if they were working on their own home. They were very flexible and willing to make and discuss any design changes needed.
