We sell a large variety of pianos - from spinets, studios, console, uprights, to baby grands, grands, player pianos and even Hammond Organs - most popular with professional musicians and places of worship. We also sell piano benches, pads, lamps, covers, tuning supplies, piano parts and moving dollies. I've attempted to work with Mr. Kap twice. Both times, the responsiveness to my initial message was unsatisfactory (F) because of a very long time delay. I was kept waiting so long that I began to look for a different service. In the first case, I was eventually called back before I made the effort to book a different tuner. The technician arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. However, I do not believe the quality of the work was worth an A; I would give it a C because the upper register of my piano was out of tune when the gentleman left my home. Although I could hear that there was a problem, I needed to return to work and didn't wish to go through the hassle of re-booking, so I just didn't say anything. In the second instance (several years later), my initial message was never returned. I eventually booked with a different tuner and am delighted with his services. So I will not be seeking Mr. Kap's services in the future.

the crew was very friendly and careful with my baby grand. They arrived on time and loaded the truck in about 15 minutes. The piano arrived safely without a scratch. They were very patient while i tried to position the piano just right in the new house. Mr. Kap was a delight to speak with on the phone, too!

Travelled to this store, which is about 100 miles from home. Looked at several pianos, and finally settled on one that I really liked. Owner Bill Kap and his salesman Lou said that it was a "brand new" piano, that came with a 10 year warranty. We agreed on a price, and piano was to be delivered after it was tuned. Piano was delivered but came with no paperwork or warranty information. Allied Bill, who assured me that he would send it out to me. It never arrived, so I called the manufacturer of the piano, only to be told that piano was not under warranty, as it was made in 1998.... Making it an 18y/o piano! Also, had a tuner look at piano, and he said it had not been tuned recently. Beware!!! This place is a scam!

The team were very courteous and careful. It was a damp rainy day and they covered the piano very well. They were careful with not only the piano but were careful of the floors and the doors of both the houses. I was very pleased.

I was incredibly disappointed with my experience at Bill Kap Piano. I typically make purchases online and was looking forward to purchasing a piano from a local business. After being lied to on two separate occasions I won't be making a purchase and I'm thankful that I'm able to share my experience online. I initially spoke with Mike over the phone over a week ago and specifically inquired about the Baldwin M Art Deco piano that was pictured on their website. When I asked for the price Mike quoted an out the door price of 4,000 included delivery, tuning, and warranty. After spending a week researching the piano we decided to make the purchase and drove 45 minutes to East Cleveland with 3 kids under the age of 5 on a cold winter day. Prior to making the trip I called back and spoke with Bill Kap (Mike's dad) to make sure that the piano was in stock and that he would honor the price. Bill said that Mike was not in but that he would honor the price and that he trusts me. The moment we walked in the door Bill said the we would not be getting the piano for 4,000 or even 6,000 and that a mistake had been made since that was a 16,500 piano. Mike was there as well and I advised them that we agreed on 4,000 and I was only willing to pay that amount. Before leaving the store I was quoted an out the door price of 6,000. The same model piano was listed on Ebay for 4995 a week ago. We wasted 3 hours of our Saturday afternoon and I'm amazed that people do business this way. Please do not quote a price if you are not going to honor it and certainly don't agree to the price on two occasions.

My only complaint is with the responsiveness to phone calls - when I called the first time, it was at least several days before i ever got a call back - long enough in fact that I had already started to search for another provider. Once I was hooked up with a tuner, again I did not get quick response to my phone call//messages. However, the tuner was excellent, did a great job with my very out of tune piano, and I felt the price was extremely reasonable. I've already rebooked. If they fix their responsiveness time, they are awesome!

It didn't go at all -- the piano tuner who was scheduled to come out, twice, was a no show both times and the company never contacted us either time with a reason or attempt to reschedule. We contacted Bill Kap last summer (2014) to tune our grand piano. Bill was very friendly and personable, and he arranged for one of his tuners to come out to the house. She never showed up when she was scheduled, and we were never contacted about the no show. We never received a follow up call from the company, but we called back a month later to try again. Bill apologized and explained that the tuner had a problem that day, and he scheduled her again to come out. Once again, she was a no show - no call. And once again we never heard from the company. We have never heard from them again.

Bil Kap provided outstanding service with the relocation of our grand piano. They were professional from the initial request on the phone to the final assembly at the new location. We have used them in them in the past and would highly recommend them for safe and reliable transportation of anyone that is in need of piano moving.
