He asked for my number through the app, called me and we set up an appointment. No one showed up for the appointment or called me to tell me that no one was coming. When I called Demetriceous later that day to see if there was some sort of scheduling mishap he promptly hung up on me. Since this is apparently how Demetriceous deals with people I'm relieved and grateful that I didn't make the mistake of hiring him."

Rescreening a door costs an average of $7 to $150. It’s a relatively easy process that only requires 30 minutes to an hour’s work.

Pet-resistant, vinyl-coated polyester is one of the strongest window screen materials available, with some manufacturers touting a 7x increase in strength compared to standard fiberglass screens. Stainless steel security screens are also extremely strong, but they’re not suitable for coastal areas due to the risk of corrosion from salty sea air. If sea air isn’t a concern, stainless steel is extremely tough.

If you’d rather repair your screen door mesh than replace it, you can patch it. Purchase a mesh patch for screen doors with small holes or tears, especially if the mesh is pretty new. Hardware stores and websites sell mesh patches that are easy to apply with an adhesive or a warm hair dryer. Keep in mind that repairs won’t look as aesthetically pleasing in most cases as a full replacement.

It’s also the reason experts suggest removing your screens in winter—so it’s easier for the sun’s warmth to filter into your home.
