"I hired Mr. Coffield and his company to demolition my existing deck around my pool and pour new concrete in place and also add an extra 4 feet of concrete to the other side of my pool for extra room. The work that him and his crew did was above and beyond. Definitely A++ work and product. The price was phenomenal as well. As the owner he is right there doing all of the hard work on sight with his crew. If it's not the way he would like it done at his own house then it's not good enough and he will work till it is. We are going to do concrete stairs in our pool the next time we change out liner and we will be hiring Wayne and his staff for the job. I highly, highly recommend Mr. Wayne Coffield and his construction team for any and all of your home and property wants and needs. You will not be disappointed! Thanks again Wayne to you and your crew for a phenomenal job!"

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, a retaining wall should be between 3 and 4 feet high, depending on variables such as the wall-building material, the purpose of the retaining wall, and more. If you want your retaining wall to be taller than 4 feet, check with your local building ordinance office for the maximum allotment. You may also need a special permit for retaining walls over 4 feet tall.

While vinyl is the least costly material for building a retaining wall, the most cost-effective method is to use wood or concrete blocks for a DIY retaining wall under 2 feet tall. Wood is inexpensive but lasts 20 years or more with care. Concrete can cost a little more but is stronger and will last longer with less maintenance.

Sand and gravel are two suitable options for filling behind a retaining wall. If you’re building your own retaining wall, you’ll complete this part of the process—known as backfilling—after you finish laying the blocks. Make sure not to skip it—otherwise, you could wind up with drainage issues, which can cause your retaining wall to collapse.

If you've decided you'd like to skip the cost of restoring a brick exterior wall after considering whether you should repair or replace brick on your house, you can consider installing fiber cement siding over brick for a cost of $2 to $6 per square foot. When done properly, cement siding over brick offers a durable, low-maintenance option that can actually reduce your home's energy costs. It's also attractive. However, improper installation or installation over heavily compromised brick can cause water damage.

Yes, you can use cinder blocks for many purposes, including retaining walls, foundations, garage walls, and fences. Building a cinder block retaining wall costs between $60 and $200 per linear foot, including materials and professional labor. For a 30-foot-long retaining wall, the cost ranges from $1,800 to $6,000.
