"This was a difficult project at best - house was build in 1901 and absolutely nothing is square or as it should be. The did an amazing job of putting all new drywall in kitchen, as well as flooring, ceilings, crown molding, new patio door [there was a challenge :)]. Everything is beautiful. Super great people to work with and I highly recommend them. They take a lot of pride in their work and it shows."

"I hired All-Dun to upgrade the drop ceiling lighting in my business. He installed 46 LED drop ceiling panel lights, he was able to delete 44 lights and I now have brighter lighting than I had with the plain LED tubes. Fair price for excellent work, I would rate 10 stars if I could!"

"Andrea came out to give an estimate and 30 minutes later she had everything done! The price was extremely reasonable and Andrea was wonderful! She saved us from having a house fire. We have other projects to be done in the future and I definitely will call her. She’s the best!"

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.

The direction your ceiling fan spins helps create comfortable airflow in your home and can also help cut down on energy costs.

During summer, your ceiling fan should spin counterclockwise. This will push cooler air downward in a column and help lower your room’s air temperature. In the winter, set your ceiling fan to spin clockwise and at the lowest speed setting. This will pull cool air upwards, displacing the warm air that pools towards the top of your ceiling and bringing it down towards the floor.

If the fan doesn’t have a switch, connect the white wire from the ceiling to the white wire from the fan; connect the green wire to the ground wire; connect both black wires; and connect both blue wires. If yours has a switch, the white and green wires are connected the same way. However, connect the ceiling’s red wire to the light’s black wire and the ceiling’s black wire to the fan’s black wire.

Most ceiling fans have a lifespan of anywhere from five to 15 years or 10 years on average. Just how long your ceiling fan lasts depends on the quality of the parts, how much it’s used, and how well you maintain it. A fan with a weak motor that runs on the medium setting nonstop is likely to have a shorter lifespan compared to a fan with a powerful motor that runs on the slowest setting for air circulation.

The most efficient ceiling fan height is 8 to 9 feet from the floor to the fan blades. For ceilings higher than 9 feet, a downrod can be used to lower the fan to the optimal height. This positioning ensures adequate air circulation and maximizes the cooling effect. Remember, fans should be installed at least 7 feet above the floor for safety.
