"Perfection metal roofing replaced my old and damaged roof with a brand new metal roof that looks fantastic and functions great. Their customer service was excellent and the price they gave me was less than half of what comparable contractors were quoting me!"

"This is the second job I've had them do. As with the first, quality and customer service were excellent. Showed up on time and when promised. Did a great job matching up the color of the metal to try and match my house roof. Was upfront about the time frame for getting the job done and kept me informed along the way. Will hire them again."

Small jobs welcome

"We strongly recommend MOV Painting. We asked them to paint a large downstairs family room. Since we didn?t want to change the color scheme, we asked Rick to match the color. The color match was perfect. Several small cracks in the drywall and some stomped place on the ceiling had to be repaired. The crew mentioned several times the repairs would be invisible: and they were. To accommodate, our travel schedule, the crew worked to finish on on a weekend. Very satisfied."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Roofers can install roof vents. Updating, upgrading, or simply replacing your roof's existing vents is common when installing a new roof. If you're looking to upgrade your ventilation system with a powered version, a local HVAC professional can also help with the task. If adding roof vents to your home is necessary while installing an addition or during other renovation work, your contractor will handle or hire out the venting work.

Clay tile roofing is common for traditional villas, while flat roofs are more standard for modern villa homes. Clay tile roofs are long-lasting, require little maintenance, and are great for warmer climates. Flat roofs are usually low-cost, energy-efficient, and allow for rooftop gardens.

Metal roofs have a reputation for being noisy, but with proper installation and adequate insulation, they are not significantly noisier than shingle roofs. The type of metal used can affect the sound level; for instance, steel roofs are typically noisier than slate or asphalt tiles but quieter than aluminum. While some people find the sound of rain on a metal roof pleasant, you can take steps to reduce the noise. Installing a thicker underlayment, adding insulation between the roof and the house, or using acoustic tiles can effectively muffle the sound. The gauge (thickness) of the metal roofing can also contribute to sound dampening.

Common problems include loose or missing shingles, leaks, and weather damage. Regular inspections help prevent major repairs.

Architectural shingles and impact-resistant shingles aren’t mutually exclusive, which means some architectural shingles are impact-resistant shingles. Architectural shingles are thicker and more durable than standard 3-tab shingles, and they become even stronger when they also have high impact resistance and wind resistance ratings. The most durable shingles for areas with extreme weather are architectural or luxury shingles that have a Class-4 impact resistance and a Class-H wind resistance that can stand up to winds reaching 150 mph.
