He and his team came into the house and took care of everything from folding the rugs, carrying them to the car and upon delivery did the exact same thing. Cleaning time was quick. "My house was in desperate need of cleaning(4 bedroom, 3.5 bath). My inquiry to the service for a quote was answered very quickly, and they came out for the estimate the next day I was available. On the actual cleaning day, the crew of 3 arrived on time and they did a good job. One of them even used a toothbrush to scrub the tracks of the windows. I found a couple of small things that were missed, but they had a big job as my house cleaning had been "let go" while I had a long illness. I was delighted and decided to use them monthly, I hope it is the same crew every time. (English is not their primary language, you will need to listen carefully and speak clearly.)"

"Bill called me back immediately and was able to come out the very next day. He arrived promptly and took extra pains not to get the carpet dirty (snowy outside). The cleaning was performed and I'm very happy with the results. I also like that the two gentlemen looked professional, drove a professional service vehicle and took great care of my home with their equipment."

Carpet Cleaning FAQs, answered by experts

Ozone smoke removal uses an ozone generator to eliminate stubborn odors from sources like house fires, wildfires, or cigarette smoke. Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive, unstable gas that neutralizes odors by oxidizing the organic compounds it comes into contact with. During this oxidation process, ozone "donates" its extra oxygen molecule to the smoke particles, effectively eliminating their smell, with oxygen being the primary byproduct. While ozone can be effective for removing smoke smells from building materials and belongings like wood furniture, this treatment is best left to a professional, as improper use of an ozone generator can be dangerous to your health.

If there is only a small amount of gum, it’s entirely possible to remove it on your own. What you’re unable to pick or scrape off, try to scrub out with warm soapy water. You can try freezing the garment and removing the hardened gum. Some swear by rubbing peanut butter on the gum before washing. No matter which method you choose, do not put your clothing in the dryer until the gum is 100 percent removed.

The best cleaner to remove soot depends on the surface material and the type of fire, but consider dish soaps or degreasers, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen. Low-oxygen fires often leave behind greasy soot, which is best removed with dish soaps or degreasers. Baking soda can be useful for absorbing soot deposits from carpets, followed by rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean the set-in stains.

The best solvent for removing carpet glue depends on its chemical composition. Most carpet glue reacts well to a solvent made from orange oil. Use mineral spirits to remove tar-based glue, which has a darker, brownish tint. Methylene chloride paint stripper and lacquer thinner should also work, but beware of the nasty and dangerous fumes.

Hydrogen peroxide can be an effective stain remover for outdoor rugs. However, it is not recommended to use for cleaning the entire surface of the rug as it is a very strong substance. If you’re battling tough stains on an outdoor rug, you can use hydrogen peroxide diluted with some water and dish soap to treat the stained area directly.
