"Kyle and his crew built a beautiful 6’ high wooden fence around my back yard. The entire thing was assembled on site including the 2 gates; no pre-assembled 8’ panel here. The guys on the crew were very friendly and courteous. They were also meticulous about making sure everything was perfect. Lastly, when they finished up, they did such a good job that, beside the brand-new fence, you could not anyone had been here. They even swept the sawdust off the freshly-cut posts. I could not be more thrilled with my new fence and would recommend them in a heartbeat."

I didn’t start Ritchie Property Services because it was easy.\n\nI started it because I was tired of shortcuts, excuses, and work that didn’t match what people were paying for.\n\nThis is a part-time business, built outside of regular work hours, with a simple goal: help the community with dependable, honest service. No gimmicks. No runaround. Just showing up, working hard, and doing the job right.\n\nI know what it’s like to need someone you can trust and not know who to call. That’s why every job—big or small—gets the same respect and attention, because your home, your property, and your time matter.\n\nIf you’ve supported me, shared my name, or trusted me with your project—thank you.\nAnd if you’re new here, I appreciate the chance to earn your trust.

"We got 2 young men for 2 hours. They went straight to work and worked quickly. They finished just under the 2 hours, All I did was step back, watch and tell them where to place the furniture. I was wonderful. They were friendly, amusing and very professional."

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can hang picture frames, shelves, and other items on Trusscore panels. For lightweight items (less than 30 pounds), the company recommends using adhesive strips rather than nails or screws. However, you’ll need to secure heavier objects to a stud in the wall. In these situations, Trusscore recommends cutting away the panel material and fastening the object to the stud with metal hardware.

Yes, most services include necessary frame modifications for proper door fitting. Confirm with your provider.

Installing an ornamental or decorative porch column takes around three to five hours. Structural columns take longer because your pro has to install a jack to hold up the roof while switching the column out. If there's any structural damage, it can add several days to the timeline to repair the damage.

Not all porch columns are load-bearing, though they can be. Some porch columns are simply decorative. There are ways to identify a load-bearing column, like looking for visible seams and a foundation. Also, check to see if the column directly enters the ground. In some porch installations, a contractor will excavate a hole to install a column into the earth along with a buried cement base for stability.

Yes, you will need a jack for a rim joist replacement. To prevent sagging and facilitate the removal of load-bearing wood, you’ll need to relieve the pressure from this joint before beginning work.

Due to hydraulics and other specialized equipment, a sill plate and rim joist replacement are not typically a DIY project. Hiring a professional structural engineer and experienced contractors is the best approach to replacing rotted sill plates and rim joists.
