We are a full service Paving & Sealing Company that has been in business over 20 years in both commercial and residential work. We do any thing from patchwork to a complete tear out and new driveway or parking lot. We work in Erie Count, Niagara County, Genesee and Orleans Counties.

"We began to notice that they did not edge the driveway or sweep it off (we had swept night before and power washed). We also noticed that sealant was slathered overtop of our mulch in our flower garden and about 3 inches ON TOP of grass on other side of driveway. We called to ask about their protocol and they offered to have someone come take a look. The next day I received a voice-mail saying they came and fixed all edging but "thats how everyone wants their edges, (heavy)". Came home to chunks out of our mulch and chunks of sealant all in flower bed. Will never use this company EVER AGAIN."

Small family owned construction company, specializing in excavation, and clearing projects. I have work as an operating engineer for 6 years now on large projects such as the bills stadium and the Buffalo Airport. Before that I dug pools, ponds, amd did clearing projects for one of the largest farms in Erie County.

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Concrete is typically the best material for a driveway if you’re looking for longevity, cost-effectiveness, and ease of maintenance. But, it’s not ideal for areas with annual freeze-frost cycles, nor is it the most attractive option—although you can get it stamped or painted. If your location is consistently below freezing, asphalt may be a better choice.

Regular sealing, crack filling, and professional inspections help extend pavement lifespan and prevent costly repairs.

The three most common types of asphalt are hot asphalt, MC cold mix, and UPM asphalt. Hot asphalt is used most often for paving and patching roadways while it’s hot and workable. MC cold mix asphalt cures more slowly than hot asphalt, but it can be used for temporary patches and repairs in low-traffic areas. UPM is also used cold, but it can be used as a longer-term fix, usable in almost any conditions at almost any temperature.

Asphalt dries and cures best between 50 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This range allows moisture to evaporate quickly without causing the asphalt to cool too fast, which can negatively affect the drying process. However, keep in mind that other weather conditions can also affect curing and drying times, such as precipitation and humidity.

The cost to pour a driveway apron depends on the material and size. Concrete costs $3 to $10 per square foot, asphalt ranges from $2 to $5, and pavers are $5 to $15 per square foot. Additional expenses, like excavation, base material, and labor, can increase the total cost. For example, a standard 12x15-foot concrete apron could cost between $540 and $1,800, depending on local rates and additional work required. Always consult a local driveway paving contractor to get an accurate estimate tailored to your project.
