"We have used Peter for almost 20 years at two different residences. He transformed our backyard and our property with complete landscaping services along with hardscape for pool, patio and brick steps. He is very responsive and willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. His masons and workers have been with him for YEARS and their skill is unmatched. Would highly recommend."

Warranties offered

"We had a fire in October 2024. Almost the whole house except framing and some interior walls was gutted needed to be rebuilt. East End handled the rebuild from the exterior siding and windows, to the new heating and cooling system, electric rewiring and panel installation, new flooring in the entire house, fireplace and mantel takedown and rebuild, kitchen , bedrooms and bathroom. They even painted the garage! We could not be happier. They were extremely efficient and handled everything making the process less stressful for us, the homeowners. That includes surveys, applications and permits. Even with us disputing some of the items on the insurer's estimate and having to go thru a long appraisal process, East End's work was not held up. They finished the job professionally and efficiently. Our house is now better than ever! Manny, Sean and Vania, along with everyone else at East End came thru for us in a time of need and we will forever be grateful."

Small jobs welcome

"Javier painted my 25x10 deck and ceiling above it. He was prompt onetime and did a good job. There was a mix up in the color of the paint which was not his fault. I paid in full for the work. He offered to stop back and give the deck another coat with the right color. He has not returned yet but hope he does. Nice man and good work."

Patios questions, answered by experts

With proper maintenance, the average life span of a screened-in porch is six to eight years for the screens themselves, but the foundation and structure can last for 50 to 100 years. To keep your screened-in porch in good shape, clean your porch screens regularly, patch holes, re-seal the wood as needed, and address any foundational issues right away.

Yes, a sunroom will require a permit. You may just need a general construction permit for a screened-in porch or solarium. For a three-season room with electricity and a four-season room with electric, heating, and cooling, you’ll need additional permits for each of the utilities, as well as a roofing permit.

In almost all cases, you will need permits if you plan on building a sunroom over your patio, but regulations and requirements will depend on your municipality. Permits to enclose your patio will usually cost between $300 and $1,000. Since navigating local building codes and zoning requirements is challenging—and the consequences of not following them can be extremely expensive—we strongly recommend hiring a sunroom builder to complete the work and pull the permits for you.

Yes, a screened-in porch will increase your property taxes because it has a foundation and is considered a permanent improvement to your land. The exact amount your taxes will go up depends on the value of your existing home, the value added by the screened-in porch, the size of the structure, your location, and more.

A Florida room doesn’t have insulation, nor is the space heated, so in most cases, the room won’t be comfortable enough to use during the winter months. A four-season room, which is like a Florida room that’s insulated, heated, and cooled, is a better option if you’re looking to enjoy your sunroom all year long.
