Small jobs welcome

"Anthony and his son (also Anthony) from All in the Family are both incredibly hardworking and genuinely nice guys! They met my husband at our home where they explained their process and provided a free quote for the job at hand. We were impressed by their professionalism and punctuality and hired them, and we were not at all disappointed - the daunting pile of construction waste from a deck build over the summer is FINALLY gone! They also removed pieces of furniture from the second floor of the house, navigating tight corners and flights of stairs with no damage done, along with several items from our sheds. The job was done in a single day! You just can’t beat the combination of a great company, fair pricing, and the end result that left my husband and I very happy and relieved, so much prouder of our home and property. We appreciate Anthony & Anthony’s work ethic and kindness and will definitely reach out again for future services. Do NOT hesitate to reach out to them!!! :-)"

"Every person Iâ ve come into contact with at Sebonac has been friendly and professional. For me personally, one of the most important things, and what Iâ ve had problems with in other companies, is communication. These guys pick up the phone when I call, and if they canâ t they immediately call back. Iâ ve worked with a lot of different companies through the years and their prices are fair and just overall I really like their attitude when it comes to problem solving or working through any issues I have. There good people and do good work."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.

You can sell a house with lead paint, but there are several requirements. If you are aware that lead paint exists anywhere in the home, you must disclose that to potential buyers. Required home inspections will often uncover lead paint, especially for older houses where lead paint may still be a problem. If you have taken steps to encapsulate lead, you should provide buyers with full documentation of the project so it won’t cause any problems later on.

Exterior paint contains a higher level of VOCs, which can be dangerous if you’re exposed to it for a long period of time. The good news is that paint’s toxicity reduces significantly once fully dried and cured. Do not keep open exterior paint cans in your home, basement, or garage, exposing your household to harmful chemicals over time.
