DL General Flooring Commercial & Residential We specialize on all types of flooring installation and repairs Carpet, Ceramic, Hardwood, Vinyl plank, Laminate Flooring Full insurance Free consultation/estimates Owner Operator

"Daniel and his team did a fantastic job. A contractor was hired to level a floor with cement then install a new tile floor with an intricate border pattern. The contractor left after installing 1/3 of the floor and refused to answer phone calls. Daniel and his team showed up, gave us a fair estimate and worked hard to not only continue the pattern and installation but the floor came out better than expected."

D'Sapone was founded business in 2009. We are growing at a fast pace now with the upmost organization to make sure every franchise runs smooth. Now we are in 4 states and are looking for more locations.

"Deeply disappointing experience. We hired D’Sapone based on Internet reviews. We only later realized that these were fake - the same fake accounts that reviewed D’Sapone in New York wrote fake reviews of their work in other cities. When someone introduces themselves with a lie, they’re telling you who they are. D’Sapone arrived on time and presented professionally. They were pleasant to deal with, until we realized that they had done a terrible job. D’Dapone took a beautiful (albeit aged) marble countertop and ruined it. They accentuated unnoticeable scratches and imperfections. Long after they arrived, we found deep gouges in freshly painted walls in exactly and only the areas where D’Sapone had worked. D’Sapone’s restoration work on our marble floor was so superficial that it caused another more experienced stone contractor to laugh out loud. I don't know if I would call it a ripoff or a scam, but it is clear they only did superficial work. We just finished a top to bottom renovation of a classic Brooklyn loft. We worked with an army of contractors, and while they weren’t all perfect, all except D’Sapone took responsibility for their work. With two D'Sapone contractors standing in our family home, we kept our commitment to pay them in cash at the end of the day based on D'Sapone's promise that they would come back (at our expense!) to fix the work they had done. We never saw them again. I’m writing with the hope you won’t see D’Sapone either, and will learn from our mistake in hiring D'Sapone and instead find an honest, local, reputable contractor who doesn’t build their business with fake reviews, upselling, and a rented P.O. box. Don't be fooled by the embroidered polo shirts. Whenever a home renovation contractor, in their own words, offers "franchise" opportunities to people with no experience and claims they can be qualified to do expensive and highly-specialized work in your home with a few days training, keep looking. Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

When choosing whether to install carpet in your home, consider the pros and cons of this change:

Pros

  • More affordable than laminate flooring

  • Gives the room a warmer feel

  • Softer on feet

  • Wide variety of textures and colors

  • Hides dirt easily

  • Faster and easier to install

Cons

  • Shows wear and tear more quickly than laminate flooring

  • Shows stains

  • Soaks up liquids

  • May not work well in some areas, such as a bathroom

  • Less durable than laminate flooring

  • Susceptible to water damage, mold, and mildew

What a buyer prefers usually depends on the home’s layout and which material fits the current aesthetic. The local real estate market can also dictate these desires to some extent, as do the buyer’s personal preferences. With that said, laminate can increase the resale value of a home by a tiny bit, whereas carpet does not. Hardwood increases the resale value by the highest amount.

A 65-oz. carpet is good, and in many cases, it indicates a premium carpet. Most carpets for homes should fall in the range of 40 to 60 ounces for face weight. If a carpet has a 65-oz. face weight, it is likely more durable and long-lasting than a similar carpet with a lower face weight. Carpet face weight is just one factor in determining a carpet’s quality.

Vinyl and linoleum are the most affordable flooring for a mobile home. The material costs $3 to $7 per square foot—or half as much as hardwood and slightly less than laminate.

Overall, vinyl isn’t as durable as linoleum, but it performs best in areas with high levels of moisture. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) or luxury flooring tile (LVT) has added durability with just a slightly higher price tag.

Vacuum regularly, clean spills promptly, and schedule professional deep cleaning annually.
