"I added a room on to the back of my house. It require some new gutter installation plus some modified and reworked install. George came recommended from a neighbor. He answered my call promptly and drove over to my property to meet me and discuss solutions. Once we worked out a plan that he suggested he went back to his truck and wrote up a quote for service. He gave me a reasonable time range and called the day before to see if the day worked for me. Bright and early this morning he was at my house to start the project. He took down existing gutters to create room for the new gutters that would make the water flow from the other direction. He added four downspouts in strategic locations to complete this awesome professional project. He cleaned all the soffits prior to added on the new gutters. What a difference. It just poured outside so a stood on my deck and watched the water flow exactly as we discussed. Couldn't be happier, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this skilled installer to anyone who is in need of gutter work or repair. His pricing was very reasonable. I got great value added onto my home thanks to George at A&J Seamless Gutters!"

On average, gutters last between 15 and 25 years. Certain materials (stainless and galvanized steel, copper, and cast iron) will have much longer lifespans, with much higher price tags. Vinyl typically lasts only 10 to 15 years, while the second most commonly used material, aluminum, lasts an average of 25 years. When soffits aren’t vented, the airflow can’t infiltrate your attic space which results in stale air trapped inside. Over time—sometimes very quickly—that trapped air can result in a moisture sink, causing rapidly growing mold issues throughout the home. You should generally avoid covering or fully closing off soffits, even in the winter months, as the ability to circulate air is far more important than the meager increase in heating costs.

Water should not be dripping behind your gutters. Rain dripping between your gutters and the fascia might indicate that the gutters are misaligned with the fascia board or there are loose screws in the gutters, allowing water to pass through. Start by checking for these issues and make repairs ASAP.

When connecting a gutter to a downspout, make sure that both have the same outlet capacity. Meaning starting from your gutter and moving downwards, the diameter should match so you have a secure seal. Make sure you’re working downwards when attaching the pipes (for example, the gutter fits inside the downspout) as doing the reverse will cause leaks.

Spring and fall tend to be the best times of the year to clean gutters. Fall is when all of the leaves drop into your gutters, so you'll want to clear that out to prevent clogs from becoming worse. Once spring comes, you'll also want to make sure that your gutters are clear of debris for in preparation for rainfall.

Clean your gutters at least twice a year if you don't have any trees near your home. If you have many large trees or pine trees, then you'll want to clean your gutters every three to four months.
