"We want to express our gratitude at the absolutely wonderful experience we had with DBC Remodeling and Construction! We used them for our home remodel/rehab project and could not possibly be any happier with the results. Our project included drywall finishing and painting, kitchen and bathroom installation, intricate woodworking, custom tile, and wood flooring. We had already poured a lot of hard work into our project were nervous about hiring just anyone to finish it. If you are planning a remodel or construction project here are some things to consider: Planning: DBC did a wonderful job putting together a plan and timeline for our project. They did a very thorough assessment of the project and then sat down with us to confirm all the details. Communication/Professionalism: During a construction project, it’s easy for important details to get lost in communication - however DBC specifically strives to go above and beyond in this area. Every detail was made clear, questions, were answered quickly, and above all the staff was very professional and friendly. Quality vendors: DBC has wonderful connections with many high quality specialists and vendors for any specific project needs. They even provided a color expert to come out and help us choose the best paint colors for each room. Quality of Work: Their attention to detail, perfectionism and skill level were all incredible! We had several very tough projects in our rehab project and all of them ended up looking even better than expected. They are definitely on the cutting edge of quality! The extra mile: During the project, a small scratch on a kitchen cabinet door appeared. It was nobody’s fault per say, and wasn’t even that noticeable. DBC reached out and offered to replace the entire door at no cost to us stating that they felt since the item was new it should look new. This is only one example of the many ways they strive to go above and beyond. Follow up: Even after the project was complete, they followed up to ensure that everything was satisfactory."
In the interior of the sunroom, white PVC wall panels were installed on the house wall, giving it a modern look as well as being water resistant.
Descending into this basement, you're welcomed by crisp white trim, a charming bar area and a big entertainment space, perfect for the whole family.
Complete with Privacy shades and a canopy, this family can adjust their outdoor experience however they please.

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Of the two most common and affordable bathtub materials, acrylic is notably better. Though fiberglass is cheaper, it is also more prone to scratching, chipping, fading, and cracking. Acrylic holds up better to wear and tear, cleaning, and sun exposure; the slight cost increase is usually worth the increased longevity.

It’s substantially less expensive to reglaze a tub than to replace it. The average cost of reglazing a bathtub is between $400 and $700, but that range may be higher based on where you live and the type of tub you have. Meanwhile, if you want to replace the bathtub, you’re looking at $2,000 to $9,400, with the average close to $5,700.

The reasons not to install flooring underneath a bathtub outweigh the benefits. A properly installed bathtub will keep water from reaching the unprotected subfloor underneath. Installing a tub on top of finished flooring can lead to damage and scratches to the new floor. Also, a small leak from a tub drain may be more difficult to notice if finished flooring impedes water drips.

Different bathtub materials have various advantages and disadvantages. Cast iron and copper are considered the most durable materials because they are dense and resistant to damage from scratches or dents. However, cast-iron tubs are heavy, expensive, and may not be suitable for upper floors. Copper offers unique benefits but requires regular chemical treatment to prevent a patina from forming, making cast iron a less maintenance-intensive option. Porcelain is a good second choice for durability. For those on a budget, acrylic is a popular option, though it is less durable.

Installing a clawfoot tub with a minimum of 6 inches of clearance from surrounding walls allows ample room for the faucet and pipework, makes cleaning easier, and reduces the chance of moisture being trapped between the tub and the walls. It might need to be closer if the faucet comes directly out of the wall.
