You should hire this guy for his communication skills and customer service skills alone. Not only was he responsive to our texts and calls -- he himself was proactive and constantly in touch with us about the schedule and the work. And the quality of the work is great. You can tell when there is pride of craftsmanship. Tom does a lot of the work himself but when he needs to subcontract, the people he hires also seem to be serious craftsmen. Our final cost for the work was more than the estimate but you have to be naive to expect that when you embark on something like this that there aren't going to be a few surprises. Whenever one of those surprises cropped up (crumbling 100-year-old sewer line, for example), Tom informed us and laid out all the options for us. Definitely hire him! I know we will, again, when we need major work."
