Tool Time Home Improvements

We hired Bernard/Tool-Time Construction with a very narrow timeline, as we were not in the home and school was about to be begin in 2 months, so all the heavy construction needed to be completed before move in. The job was a garage conversion (Kitchenette/Laundry/Storage room), a new Master Bedroom Expanded Ensuite constructed from Studs, new ceramic flooring for the entire entire lower level of the home, and other projects like kitchen backsplash for two kitchens and electrical recessed lighting throughout the house. Bernard and his team are very thorough communicators and always on time. Because this job had a highly pressured timeline, his team showed up every day (7 Days a week) for 3-4 months until the job was completed. We ran into some issues with glass tiles, and they returned twice to remedy the problem after construction was finished. I am very familiar with construction having served as GC on numerous scaled home renovations and would highly recommend Bernard and his crew. They are one of the best contractors crews I have had the pleasure of working with. We are very pleased with their work and follow through, especially Lambert, who does it all, a real solutions driven contractor and once of the best all around renovation mechanics I ever worked with! But be prepared to do your part as the homeowner, if you are doing extensive construction work, any delays on materials will delay the job. Especially with post pandemic material manufacturing delays alongside export/import shipping challenges. Try and have everything selected and ordered in advance as best you can, because once Bernard and his team get started, they will work efficiently and at the speed of light. I had a challenging time keeping up with them, but the fluid communication helped me defend my end of the construction equation and relationship. And when I ran into material delays, his construction crew did their best to work around them and continued with other aspects of the renovation to complete the job on time, which I am happy to report they did achieve.

Bernard was pleasant and easy to talk to about my project. His crew was very professional and did an amazing job. I had French doors add to my home and they look terrific. They were on time and stayed late and got the job done in 2 days instead of 3. They were very clean, except for the dust (which canâ t be helped) you wouldnâ t know they were even there. Very satisfied.

Bernard Wienckowski and his team of multiple contractors were able to restore our parent's bedroom back to its original condition after experiencing water damage from an upstairs bathroom. They were accommodating with our limited schedule, and not only replaced the damaged sheet rock, replaced wood Moulding, painted the room, closet, cleaned and restored our wood floors, replaced two electrical outlets, but also helped dig my car out of our driveway, after the recent snowstorm. I highly recommend them for home renovation needs. Thank you, Bernard, for all your help.

I needed a closet converted to install stacked laundry machines, a dishwasher installed, and a bathroom vanity replaced. He sent a team of two to do carpentry + electrical + plumbing. They installed every piece wrong, either through carelessness or incompetence, and certainly failed to read the instructions. Bernie sent that team back to correct their work, but ultimately had to send a different team to fix the errors. Usually he sent them after they had worked a full day at another job, so they came late in the day. For a job that was supposed to take 3 days, after 3 weeks the dishwasher still doesn't work and now I have to wait for the manufacturer's service team to come and figure out what's wrong. Bernie was polite and responsive, and he discounted a few hundred dollars for the water damage, but he should not have sent an incompetent team to begin with.

I had new aluminum trim and a gutter installed on the front of my home. The workers were very efficient and neat. They arrived on time, were perfect gentlemen and cleaned up at the end of the day. My lawn was as clean and neat as it was before they started. Bernard was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I would definitely hire them again and would absolutely recommend them to my friends and family.

Excellent work. They did dry wall repair and also installed a faucet in our bathroom. There was an issue that they returned and corrected.

Out of all of the contractors and workmen I have had in my house, this company was by far the best from start to finish!!they showed up on time and where neat and clean! They finished faster then I expected. The workmanship is beautiful. My shower looks beautiful. I can t say enough!

We hired Bernard and his crew for multiple home renovations in our new home. They installed a banister, did crown and base molding throughout our home, added railings to two of our porches, removed a giant ceiling vent, installed and trimmed 6 doors, and installed a new front door for us. They completed all of this work in about four days. They were on time, trustworthy, and reliable. There was one day that they cancelled last minute, but they were very flexible in adding more projects and additional work to the never-ending list. I also felt that Bernard was understanding about keeping to a budget, and was able to suggest repairs instead of replacements on a few projects. I really appreciated this. When buying a new home, the costs add up! After meeting his crew, I felt comfortable leaving them to work in my house while I went to work. They were very knowledgable as well.

We hired Bernard and his crew to renovate the lower level of our high ranch. It was a lot of work that required walls coming down, new floors, new recessed lighting, built in shelves, new closet, new staircase, replacing our front door, new shutters.... I must say that we are thrilled with the work they did! Bernard and his crew were punctual, professional, knowledgeable and hardworking, all the things you'd want in a contractor. At the end of each work day, the crew cleaned up and addressed any questions I had regarding the progress that took place. Bernard's responsiveness and attention to detail are top notch. If you're looking for an excellent contractor, look no further! We had an excellent experience with Tool Time and would highly recommend them.

Our bathroom remodeling took place a few weeks ago ...and everything was done just in time for the holidays! I'm sorry that I didn't write this review sooner ....I have been so excited to write this! Bernard is top of the line AWESOME! He possesses customer service skills that are out of this world. His knowledge of anything and everything re: home improvements is vast. Bernard stopped by the house several times just to check in with us. How good is that?!?! Now ...the two guys that did the work .... Marvin and Hugo - WOW WOW WOW! These two individuals - professional, polite, warm and friendly ....they became part of our family for 6 days. The work that was done is impeccable. Clean up occurred every day as they were leaving. Marvin is an artist ...the tile work in our bathroom ....people are in AWE when they see this room. We still are amazed when we walk into that room! Marvin's sense of style and placement for items and his vision was far better than what we would have thought ourselves. He helped us make decisions based on his experience and his gift .....a true artist! Hugo ....the tile cutter, helper and painter! I cannot believe what he did to our walls .....that they were the same walls as before! WOW WOW WOW ....they look brand new ...not a seam, bubble or bump anywhere. I can't say enough good about Bernard and his team. We are looking forward to having more work done around the house. What a pleasure it was having these guys ....and what a terrific job they have done! Marvin's wife was expecting a baby girl any day during the time he was with us ....we hope all is well with baby and his wife and family. We wish them the best! We hired Bernard/Tool Time to renovate our entire bathroom and they did an excellent job! The crew showed up on time, worked long and hard and did an amazing job! They were professional and accommodating and cleaned up at the end of each day. His prices were reasonable and I would highly recommend them.

He is so awesome! He showed up on time, his prices are excellent and caring. I would recommend him to anyone at any time. This will not be the last we use him for sure! He made me feel like I wasn't going to be ripped off he was honest and kind! I love him.
