Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. We needed to work around his schedule, because he is in demand in the tri-state area, so it took awhile to schedule the work to begin... but it was worth it."

They were very conscientious and made sure we were happy with the project every step of the way. We had just bought the house, so they were very willing to work around other scheduled appointments we had made for other projects. "Tom from Nu Line Home Improvement is the most professional contractor I have ever had the pleasure to work with. He is in constant communication, which is not something I have found very common in the people I have worked with in the past. He is meticulous and a bit of a perfectionist. He will keep working on something over and over until there isn’t the slightest imperfection. Previous contractors have done drywall for us and the tape has become visible as well as screw heads and other imperfections but I can honestly say that the walls that he has put up and has painted are absolutely perfect and they have held up over time as well. I can’t recommend Tom highly enough."

"Made an appt. with Castle Rep, James, for 17 windows and vinyl siding. He spent 1 hour talking about how great his company and windows are before finally getting down to the issue. We were told that CASTLE makes and services their own window, with all the best technology and technicians available. The price per window for energy efficient came out to over $1,200 per double-hung window! And since they make their own products, we could not find a way to compare quality and price with other manufacturers. But his per-window price exceeds the average price of $500-700 by A LOT! When we balked, he made a call to his "manager" to see if we qualified for a "special promotional" discount. If we were to commit right there on the spot, we would get an additional 10% off! Still way to high. We said we would think about it (he got sad and snippy), and that we wanted to hear about the vinyl siding quote before we made any decisions. He told us he could not give us a siding quote until his company did an "eagle view" measurement, which would require another appointment! We had no intention of sitting through ANOTHER high-pressure appointment. High pressure, long-drawn out presentation and he would not leave us with anything in writing! No brochures, prices, nothing! He refused to put anything in writing and we could not have a break down of labor and costs. I even asked him if I could have a copyhh of the window warranty and he said "only if you purchase right now." And they did not come prepared with references or previous job locations! When we further researched the company, we found they did make very excellent products, but the #1 complaint was by far that they did not honor their lifetime warranty and that customer service was horrible. In the end, we chose not to do business.."
