He was able to give me an estimate within just a few minutes. Our project was a roof on a parsonage that was in serious need of replacement. They installed it within one day (including full clean up) and it was done ahead of schedule. In general, you should consider replacing your roof if more than 30% of it is damaged. This includes several missing shingles, large spots of granule loss, extreme curling or cracking, structural damage to the roof's decking, or multiple areas of leaks. All of these issues could indicate compromised structural integrity that requires roof replacement.

Technically speaking, yes, verbal agreements and “handshake deals” can be legally binding contracts that will hold up in court, but the suing party will need to be able to prove that the parties entered into the contract.
