"The crews are very respectful and nice. I’ve been with them for 3 years and haven’t had any issues. They are fast and efficient and accommodating to my schedule; ie: if I have a party I can call and they will make sure everything is done early that day or just before. The owner and office manager are easy to talk to. The owner shows up on big jobs to make sure things are done right and gives accurate quotes on all work. They are fairly priced. I would definitely recommend them if you need lawn services."

"I can't say enough about my experience with Legacy Brick and Stone. They did a 1500 square foot patio with two stoops and a lot of quirky issues. From start to finish EVERYTHING was handled superbly. The estimate was done quickly with several options itemized so I could pick and choose and know the cost impact of all my choices. Stewart handled everything professionally, efficiently, and timely. His crew are hard working artisans who are experts in their craft. The end result is a gorgeous new patio that has revitalized my backyard and pool. I highly recommend Legacy and would use them again. By the way: we went with Cambridge Limestone Quarry XL smooth. It looks great."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

Asphalt paving offers several benefits, including cost-effectiveness and a quick installation process. It provides a durable and smooth surface, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. With proper maintenance, asphalt also offers longevity.

Driveway pavers are often worth the cost. Paver types like cobblestone, brick, and concrete are highly durable, and permeable paver options can be tremendously eco-friendly. While you may pay more for a paver driveway, you’ll see great returns from the increased curb appeal and low maintenance compared to other types of driveways.

The recommended minimum amount for a paver base is 4 inches. From there, it depends on the kind of traffic the pavers will see and the current soil conditions. Two inches of paver base won’t create the amount of stability and support that pavers need to remain securely in place over time.

Generally speaking, tiles are for indoor use, while pavers are for outdoor use. The main difference between travertine tiles and pavers is their thickness. Tiles are around 1/2 inch thick, and pavers are 1 1/4 inches to 2 inches thick.

Pavers are more rugged and can handle different weather. The extra thickness on pavers also makes them ideal for high-traffic areas.

Many asphalt companies have experience with tar and chip paving, but not all. The process is unique enough—and not incredibly common enough—that you may have to look around for a tar and chip specialist. However, speaking with a driveway company is a great place to start, especially if they have experience with multiple materials.
