"We were extremely happy with the work performed by H&M. Moises, Hector and crew were courteous and did whatever needed to please us. They did most of the renovation in our condo......painting, installation of bathroom cabinets, sink, installed tile floor, etc. They also installed vinyl flooring in our kitchen, living and dining rooms. They had a plumber replace our heating baseboard, I would highly recommend H&M if you want excellent work done!!"

Small jobs welcome

"Bryan was great. He repaired the hearth on our fireplace which four pieces broke off when I dropped a small statue and it broke and knocked the pieces off the corner of the hearth. Bryan repaired it so beautfully and we cannot see where the repair was done. He also sealed the hearth. By the way Bryan, our wonderful son found another viking, the same one, and brought it to us, soo all is good and back to normal. Thank you. Bruce and Audrey Ericsson"

"I couldn?t be happier with the work Anthony Speciale, owner and operator of Speciale Contractor, and his team did for me! They did a phenomenal job giving me the kitchen and flooring I always wanted, and the results exceeded my expectations. Anthony is truly a craftsman who takes pride in his work. He is professional, punctual, reasonably priced, and pays incredible attention to detail. He and his team went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. Repair Bathroom Tile questions, answered by experts

Just like the rest of your roof, a dormer will last as long as the life span of the materials used in construction. Slate, clay, and concrete roofing can last for over a century, whereas more standard roofing materials, such as asphalt shingles, last closer to 30 years. The structure of the dormer itself, however, should last the roof's lifetime when properly maintained. Only the window, insulation, and eaves may require repairs over time.

Whether it’s better to add a bathroom to an upstairs or downstairs floor will depend on the home’s layout and your needs. Powder rooms and guest bathrooms are commonly on lower levels, while primary bathrooms are upstairs. When deciding, consider where the bedrooms are located and where your family spends the most time. If you don't have a bathroom in the basement but use the space, adding a bathroom there could be a great option.

The amount of time it takes to repipe a bathroom depends on how much piping needs to be replaced and how accessible the pipes are. Smaller, easily accessible jobs may only take a few hours, but projects that require drywall removal or removing old pipes or large clogs can take several days.

Shower niches can be placed anywhere they will be most accessible for those in the shower. A shower niche should be close enough to the showerhead that it’s convenient to grab products, but not so close that it’s in the direct path of the water. You can also consider the overall shower design and favor symmetry, integrate the niche with the tile design, or hire a bathroom remodeling contractor to help you decide.

While most modern sinks, toilets, and showers last up to 20 years or more with no issues, experts suggest a bathroom remodel should take place at least once a decade. Otherwise, your bathroom might start to look dated. However, the frequency depends on a few different factors, including the quality of the original materials, how well the space has been maintained, and your personal preferences. Signs it’s time for a refresh include outdated fixtures, worn surfaces, poor functionality, or simply wanting to update the look.
