"Project: Remove old wood flooring in existing 286 sq. ft. kitchen and laundry areas, and replace with 12X12 cleft cut slate. I am a professional designer who has supervised interior construction across the US and in 12 countries overseas. Sergio submitted the lowest written bid out of five contractors. The team was punctual, neat and exacting in the difficult task of cutting out the old wood flooring in the kick spaces underneath existing kitchen cabinets. They cut out and patched defective wood sub-flooring and then deftly applied Ditra matting before laying the cleft cut slate, using a hi tech system of spacing and leveling the slate. Throughout the entire process, precision and professionalism was their mantra. I will gladly and highly recommend this team for any and all work involving tile or stone work. "Beautiful job! Painted the outside of our entire house. Old clapboard had to be stripped down to the wood. Lots of trim work using different colors. Plaster experts! They repair plaster and paint it. Excellent job on the interior rooms. Very reasonable pricing. Everything was left clean and neat."

"I was hosting Christmas Dinner at my house this year, and was running a tight schedule. I needed my kitchen's wallpaper removed and paint redone asap as it was getting old, peeling and fading. I organized a price and a time with Tim and Charlene, and they handled everything perfectly. They came a tad early, finished everything we needed to, stuck to the agreed price, and gave some extra maintenance and style advice! They were dutiful and professional, and I constantly felt like they wanted this to go well for me. Absolutely going to call them next time I need a room painted."

"It was a difficult project requiring the removal of current siding, then significant patching, sanding and carpentry to prepare the original clapboard for paint. The crew was very hard working and super creative when it came to solving problems. They showed up on time every day and finished the project according to schedule. The price was very reasonable and no surprise charges. We are very pleased with AAA and would highly recommend them."

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

If you can already see the texture of the existing wallpaper through the layer of paint, then the texture could also come through the new layer of wallpaper. If that’s the aesthetic you want, then proceed. But if you want a smoother surface, you should either strip off the existing paint and wallpaper or hang a layer of liner paper before proceeding.

The average cost to remove wallpaper is $790. The final price tag depends on the size of the room and the complexity of the project, and can range from $200 to $2,000. Usually, removing peel-and-stick wallpaper is on the lower end of the cost scale, as it doesn't require special tools to remove.

Limewash can be removed from brick, but the method of removal will depend on how long the limewash has been on the brick. If the limewash has fully dried—which happens after about five days—you’ll need to use a diluted muriatic acid mixture to remove it. If there are multiple coats of limewash, you may need to apply the acid mixture several times to fully remove it from the brick.

Using a fabric softener solution is a popular and low-cost DIY method for removing wallpaper, but its effectiveness is limited. While it may work on some types of wallpaper, it is unlikely to be successful on vintage styles, and there is no evidence that it is more effective than other removal methods. There are also several potential downsides: the solution can leave behind a residue that may damage your walls or interfere with the adhesion of new wallpaper. Additionally, this method can create a strong, overpowering aroma that takes a long time to dissipate, making it a poor choice for homeowners sensitive to smells.

Most jobs take 1-3 days, depending on room size and adhesive strength.
