Customers say: Quality work

"Milton and his crew beautifully restored our 96-year-old stucco home. Milton explained exactly what needed to be done and how the work would proceed. He was exactly spot on and the work was completed as he explained. His crew is friendly and professional, and they are extremely talented craftsmen. They took great care to protect the windows and the plantings around the house as they worked. They also handled the painting that needed to be done on the house trim. The cleanup at the end of the job was fantastic. We could not be happier with our new old home!"

"Jorge and his team are wonderful. Very professional and honest . Very respectful of your property and go above and beyond. I had two issues.I had flooding issues in my back yard and they put a drain in now I do not worry anymore about my basement flooding. I needed to redo my front steps. They put down beautiful pavers and rebuilt my steps. I love pulling into my driveway now my home looks so welcoming. Jorge and his team work hard to get the job done right and itâ  s shows in their work. I would recommend them very highly so much I asked them to come back and do another job. Jorge was very accommodating and did another well done job."

"The kitchen remodeling was only one of several things I have had them do. Over the years they have put a new roof on my house, done siding, completely refurbished an outside front porch with flooring, installed windows and many other incidentals. Mr. Riemer is reliable, professional, knowledgeable and knows his business. He is also makes well thought out recommendations if youâ re not sure exactly what you want. I highly recommend him and look forward to him doing more work for me in the future."

"Did an amazing job all the way around. They completed a total replacement of our roof in one afternoon and left our yard fresh and clean despite all the old debris. They were on time, respectful and got the job done right. I intend to contact them again if we need any more work done and suggest you do the same."

"They replaced 2 closet doors and repaired a drawer. It's an old house where every project has an issue. Mark & Dave did a fantastic job! Mark showed up on time to look over and measure then e-mailed me an estimate right away. They showed up right on time, completed the job and actually left everything cleaner than they found it. I am really pleased with the job they did and will definitely hire them again!!"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The decision to repair or replace stucco depends on the extent of the damage. For minor issues like small cracks, holes, dirt, stains, or discoloration, a repair is typically sufficient and more cost-effective. These issues can often be resolved with a simple repair, a deep clean, and possibly a new coat of paint. However, for more significant problems such as large cracks, peeling, mold, algae, or structural water damage, a replacement might be necessary. In these cases, it is best to call a professional stucco contractor for an inspection. An expert can assess the severity of the damage, determine if there are deeper issues, and advise whether a repair is adequate or if replacing a section or an entire wall is the more cost-effective, long-term solution.

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.

The cost of a repair depends on several factors, including the severity, complexity, and type of damage. Other key elements are the cost of any necessary replacement parts, hardware, materials, or required software updates. Labor rates and whether emergency service is needed will also influence the final price.

Stucco repair can best be described as a patch. It involves identifying the problem and fixing that specific damage with additional stucco. If no mold infiltration or an underlying leak is causing the damage, repair is most likely all you need.

Remediation, on the other hand, involves removing the existing siding, fixing the underlying cause of the damage, and then reapplying stucco siding for that wall. It’s a more permanent fix that takes longer to complete and, hence, comes with a steeper price tag than repair.

The cost to replace the chimney crown or top is about $1,550 on average. The range varies widely depending on the size of the chimney, the materials used, accessibility, and the extent of the damage. If you suspect a problem with your chimney top, call a professional masonry contractor for an inspection.
