"Joe and his partner did excellent work. They replaced my deck and railings (with 2 sets of stairs), and my front porch and railings with Trex. Their estimate was fair. Communication was excellent. They showed up on time every day, even when they had to shovel snow around where they were working. They found ways to work around any issues that arose. I love my new deck and porch. Highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again."

"
My house is a cedar contemporary built in 1987. I have been using Don Evan's to maintain the exterior since I moved in. The house has a fairly large cedar deck as well. Don has cleaned and stained my house 4 times over the last 25 years. Each time he has had to replace some of the cedar that just decays over the years or eaten by woodpeckers
Don has always been very honest, reasonably priced, reliable, and always professional.
As long as the weather cooperates Don always shows up when he says he will. Don is an excellent communicator keeping you informed during each step pointing out any issues or concerns he finds. Don is a perfectionist and goes out of his way to make sure the work performed is of the highest quality. He is meticulous on matching the stain to cover evenly.
He has always employed quality help that ensures that the work they perform is up to Don's standards.
Obviously, I highly recommend Don Evan's if you are looking for a highly dependable and extremely honest professional. It is a tribute to Don that I continue calling him for my painting needs and have recommended him to friends who would echo my sentiments."

Playground Equipment questions, answered by experts

Yes! It’s always a good idea to anchor your playset. Even though they’re heavy, it doesn’t take much wind to blow one over. Anchoring everything to the ground makes it a lot safer for your kiddos.

Rubber mulch is widely considered the best material to place under a playset. This material option provides more cushioning than traditional wood mulch for added protection, remains cooler than sand and most other materials in direct sunlight, and it’s low maintenance. Rubber mulch is slightly more expensive than other common options at $120 per cubic yard on average, whereas pine bark mulch is $30 per cubic yard. But when it comes to your children’s safety, the investment is worthwhile. Consult your playground equipment installation company about material recommendations before starting this project.

Children can become interested in playset activities as young as two years old, and many start to lose interest between ages nine and 12. Backyard playsets can grow and adapt as the children age and playtime interests change.

In most cases, your professional playground installer will put down a playground surface before assembling the fun-filled system. However, you should ask your installer about this service before booking an installment date. Most playground equipment installation companies offer service add-ons like leveling the area, laying down a surface, building a border to keep the surface material contained, and setting up the swing set.

For artificial turf that’s the most durable, look for heat-resistant products with thicker blades. Keep in mind that there’s a difference between artificial grass versus artificial turf, with turf consisting of a shorter look while artificial grass is longer and more closely resembles real grass.
