Our priority is the Customer's satisfaction. If you're happy we're happy. We are a licensed and Insured company with more than two decades of experience in the removal of trees, pruning, and general tree care. Ask us about our other services such as Firewood and Fencing.

"Great - Sammy (the Owner & Tree Climber), Nino (I'll call him the #2 guy), Rudy (Tree Climber), Alex & Santo were wonderful. Guys arrived on time and worked for 4 hours. They were so careful around my pool, pool, heater, solar cover and other ornamental specimen shrubs -- ropes were in constant use as limbs were coming down and carefully placed to the ground to avoid causing damage to the surrounding area plantings. They even brought a bucket truck just in case -- but decided not to bring it up on my driveway - so Rudy was up the tree instead. Cleaned up any debris that may have fallen over the fence line onto the neighbor's property, and left my property clean as can be -- like the weren't even there. Licensed & insured and followed my request for insurance requirements"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Tree removal can be quite expensive, especially for larger projects, but you can use the following tips to help keep costs down:

  • Do the yard cleanup afterward yourself

  • Choose to leave the logs on your property and split them yourself

  • Opt to leave the stump in the ground and tackle stump grinding yourself

  • Pull permits for tree removal, if necessary, to avoid fines

  • Pay to have multiple trees removed at once

  • Remove tree in the late winter or early spring during off-season

It depends on the problem, the affected part of the tree, the risk of the pathogen spreading, and the overall health of your tree. Many diseases, fungal infections, and insect infestations can be successfully treated, especially if the issue is only in a few branches. However, if a disease is too widespread, too severe, too easily spread, or in the roots, the tree will likely need to be removed.

For the most part, homeowners don’t need permission to cut down a tree on their own private property. But there are some exceptions. If the tree is very large, very old, or protected for any reason (it’s a heritage species, for example), then you may need a permit in order to cut it down. Trees that are close to public property or power lines may also be subject to special rules. You can face hefty fines if you don’t follow local tree protection ordinances, so it’s worth checking with the appropriate government agency before you fire up your chainsaw.

Whether you choose to chisel and hammer, chainsaw, or burn your tree stump to hollow it out, always use protective goggles and thick gloves. Splinters are an inevitable risk. Having a power drill with a diameter of at least ⅜ inch also makes the job quicker and easier.

Usually, trees cannot grow back after their stump has been ground, but some very hearty types of trees can. For example, if you have a black locust or Redford pear, the grinding will need to go deep to prevent them from growing back. Ask your tree service or stump removal expert whether your tree can resprout after its stump is ground down.
