Stacey found time on a Saturday to inspect the trees and advised me on a course of action; the additional remedial work is being scheduled (the firm is very busy). She was very knowledgeable, straightforward, and helpful. I will do a follow up after the first step of remediation is completed.

Had trees cut down, trees trimmed and the yard cleared and leveled. Service is top notch. Stacey is the best. Listened to all my needs and sent out the crews to get the jobs done. Every crew I have had is super professional and works as a team. They do a beautiful job and communicate with me during the process. After the job is done, they always clean up after themselves- sweep, rake, use the leaf blower. They leave your place cleaner than when they got there. I have used them 3 times since I bought my house. I would never use anyone else. And she is affordable. Every time.

Stacey from Northeast Horticultural Services was excellent. She contacted me with s few hours of the request and came out to my house within 2 days. She was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I would highly recommend her for any services you might need from the simple; like looking at tree to confirm its type and safety for a treehouse to a full on tree removal job. Due to a recent tornado we needed tree removal services. Northeast Horticultural was fantastic. They returned my call, assessed our damage and gave us an estimate quickly. Our job was done in a timely manner and for a very reasonable cost. The team did a fantastic job taking down serval trees and removing all our down trees and debris. We are very pleased and plan on hiring them to more landscaping work in our hard. It was an all around great experience working with them and I would not hesitate to recommend them!

I am very happy with the service that was performed. The team showed up on time, completed the work as expected and cleaned up before they left. No complaints at all and I would definitely hire again.

I was concerned about a couple of trees on our property that did not appear to be in great health. Stacey took her time walking the property with me and providing her honest opinions. We ended up removing one oak tree and pruning a number of others around the property.

I frequently hear commercials for Northeast Horticultural on the radio so when I noticed that the large tree in my back yard had some dead limbs that needed to be removed, I immediately reached out to them. Unfortunately, I never ended up working with them so I can't rate them on price or services rendered. I received one call a few days after my initial call asking about the details and promising to get back to me and arrange a visit. Weeks went by and I left a second voicemail asking if they were still interested in the job and I never heard back from them so I ended up using another Angie's List provider. I don't know if my job sounded too small but at a minimum, it would have been nice to have someone come out and look at the tree and advise what to do. At a minimum, they could have at least returned my call and told me that they couldn't take the job. Hopefully, others will have better luck with this company!

In general, just poor quality work. Planted the wrong plants and were hostile when we complained. They finally realized that they were in error and came back to remove the "mislabeled" plants. Other plantings were on a daily irrigation schedule and died anyway - no replacement. Ripping out the entire mess and going back to Oliver's in Fairfield to get the job done right.

Mr. [Member Name Removed] hired us in the early spring to do some platings. We had visited his property three times before he gave us the job. We re-wrote his design and estimate four times before he even gave us any work. We did the planting and the mulching and he was not around when we finished so we could not walk through the job with him. We then invoiced him for the work. When he didn't pay his invoice for over ninth days, I noticed the delinquency and we reached out to him. That was the first time we knew he had any issues with the job. If he had communicated to us at the conclusions of the job that he was unsatisfied we could have come out to rectify whatever it was that he was not pleased with. We can't fix what we don't know is wrong in his eyes. As far as putting in the wrong plants, it was early spring and the plants were mere cuttings in a pot that had been mislabeled at the nursery. They were far too young for us to tell they were mislabeled by the nursery, and when he finally communicated to us that he didn't think they were the right plants, we offered immediately to come out and bring the correct plants and he just wanted us to rip them out and to deduct it from the total he still hadn't paid three months later. I regret that this situation ended like this. I also did go above and beyond for Mr. [Member Name Removed] and we correctively pruned his crabapple trees that another vendor had completely mutilated for only $200 when we had originally priced the item at $500. I did this because he had signed on to do the planting and mulching. I sent my crew of tree experts out for $300 less than our minimum price to make a visit. I wish Mr. [Member Name Removed] luck with his future service providers.Catherine P.

Stacey came out and quoted me for the removal of a very large pine tree with a split trunk. One half of the tree was already dead, and the other soon to follow from beetles & disease. I also needed stump grinding on a large mulberry tree with extensive roots still remaining and the pine tree to be taken down. They have a great machine that can chip the trunk of trees now and it was completed on time with great professionalism. This was my second experience using Northeast Horticultural services and I will continue using them in the future and recommend them to others. Everyone from the owner to all employees are excellent!

Stacey came out and we were very impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. We had a river birch in our front yard that had just gotten too big for the space. She recommended we take it down and replace it with a smaller tree. She gave us great recommendations for smaller trees that we didn't even know existed. We also had them look at our existing landscape and give us recommendations on what we could do differently. We are in the process of working with them on an overall landscape plan. We could not be happier that we contacted them.

Ms. Stacey Marcell, the company owner, arrived with her crew on time and prepared to begin the work. The crew was both courteous and professional. They removed the tree, ground down the stump, filled the rather large hole with top soil and quality seed. Hay was then used to cover the area. They worked quickly but safely. We were very pleased with Northeast Horticultural Services and would hire them again.

I was very impressed with their service - they did exactly what they said they would do, at a fair price. I would highly recommend them, and in fact, I will likely have them back for other work in 2015. They arrived on time for the initial proposal, and again on the day they said they'd perform the work. The crew did an excellent job, and cleaned up all tree debris (and even leaves that were on the lawn prior to their arrival). Stacey, the owner, is very knowledgeable. She completed the original, detailed proposal within minutes, during her first visit to our property. Her office assistant was prompt with follow-ups that included forwarding a copy of their insurance binder. I appreciated the completeness and legibility of the proposal and the ultimate services agreement. NHS' price was competitive - roughly in the middle of several proposals (or price estimates) I received. It was reassuring also that NHS had done a lot of work in our our neighborhood.

We recently purchased a home and called upon NHS to assist us with a number of long overdue tree removal and landscaping projects. Unfortunately, the previous owners had let the property go. From the start we were very impressed with Stacey and her team. She was upfront, honest and knowledgeable about what needed to be handled right away and what could be postponed. We knew that we were in good hands and moved forward with 80% of the projects that need to be done. She sent one team to handle the removal of the dead trees and prune and shape the larger trees on the property. A second team was sent to work on the landscaping of the beds and perennial gardens. Both teams worked throughout the day, cleaned up and completely transformed the property. We now have neighbors commenting on how nice the property looks. Throughout the process Stacey was available to answer any questions and we look forward to working with her and her amazing crew again in the near future. Removed a very large Mulberry tree in a backyard with limited access. The tree had a split trunk and was a danger. No machines came into the backyard as other companies were going to either have to use a crane or remove a part of my privacy hedge. They used a cart and gave me a much cheaper quote. They arrived on time, cleaned up nicely and left the property in good shape.
