Mr. [Member Name Removed] hired us in the early spring to do some platings. We had visited his property three times before he gave us the job. We re-wrote his design and estimate four times before he even gave us any work. We did the planting and the mulching and he was not around when we finished so we could not walk through the job with him. We then invoiced him for the work. When he didn't pay his invoice for over ninth days, I noticed the delinquency and we reached out to him. That was the first time we knew he had any issues with the job. If he had communicated to us at the conclusions of the job that he was unsatisfied we could have come out to rectify whatever it was that he was not pleased with. We can't fix what we don't know is wrong in his eyes. As far as putting in the wrong plants, it was early spring and the plants were mere cuttings in a pot that had been mislabeled at the nursery. They were far too young for us to tell they were mislabeled by the nursery, and when he finally communicated to us that he didn't think they were the right plants, we offered immediately to come out and bring the correct plants and he just wanted us to rip them out and to deduct it from the total he still hadn't paid three months later. I regret that this situation ended like this. I also did go above and beyond for Mr. [Member Name Removed] and we correctively pruned his crabapple trees that another vendor had completely mutilated for only $200 when we had originally priced the item at $500. I did this because he had signed on to do the planting and mulching. I sent my crew of tree experts out for $300 less than our minimum price to make a visit.
