"Eddie was great to work with! We had a limited time frame to adhere to town inspections and Eddie and his team knew exactly what we needed and quickly got the job done. The results were great and even the inspector acknowledged the impressive repair. They were able to put a knocked out garage wall back on the foundation and repair the interior dry wall. I would recommend this company for any professional contract work due to their reasonable price, ease to work with and quality of work."

"Torres Contracting did an outstanding job repairing my old front and side stoops that had significant water damage. On time and at an extremely fair price. His masons then built two matching brick/bull nose flower beds in front of house. Beautifully done and I received many compliments from the neighbors!"

"Bobking did a great job on my house. They painted the external house, repaired my cracked chimney, laid cement in my front yard and did brick work in front to prepare for iron gate work(another company). Their customer service was great and they worked very fast. All of the work was neat and as expected. I will definitely use and recommend this company again."

"Zavza Seal has been hired for an insulation project in the attic of my house. The team arrived on time and did an amazing job. The workers were respectful and acted like real professionals. No mess, complete cleanup of the site before leaving. It is also important to point out the management willingness to find with the customer the best way to get the project done, and to do whatever necessary for the customerâ  s satisfaction."

"I refer to Luigi as the Michelangelo of cement, directing a team of very experienced and skillful employees whose sole business is cement and whose work is of such high quality that passersby comment approvingly and ask for business cards. Think about that: who gets compliments on their nice, new cement? On every level I found Luigi himself a pleasure to do business with. He is candid, honest, dependable, very knowledgeable about his craft, and an excellent communicator. His crew works one jobsite at a time so he can supervise them closely and protect pedestrians from potential hazards. As with all home improvements, it is best to be specific, clear, and detailed to avoid misunderstandings; contractors are not mind readers. A good test of their quality and integrity is how they handle the unexpected hiccups that do occur; in that regard, Luigi is among the best I have ever dealt with."

Customers say: True professional

"Martinez Brick came the following day to inspect my “3 sidewalk squares” for replacement. He told me the 4th one should also be replaced, as it was elevated. He gave me a price for 4 squares that was less than a competitors price for 3. Then he said that he would cut $400 off if I could do it “this Saturday”, a date at his convenience because he had a job close by. I said “great!” It rained Saturday and he couldn’t pour cement in the rain. He said “I’ll be there Tuesday”, and I’m honoring the discounted price. Okay. Monday night he called and said he will come Wednesday for sure because he doesn’t want his workers pouring cement in 98 degree heat! I like a boss who cares about his employees. He came on Wednesday and did a PERFECT job!"

"Im am so happy with the work that was done on my house. Tyler came and gave a very fair estimate on lifting my concrete side entrance stairs to my basement. He explained every step of the process and did exactly what we wanted with no issues. Everything was done to perfection. No damage was done and you cant even tell the stairs ever needed a repair in the first place. I would highly recommend this company and would hire again for any future jobs."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance. In some cases where the shifting concrete is caused by a natural disaster or storm, you may be able to file an insurance claim if your policy specifically covers those circumstances. In most cases, though, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for concrete leveling.

Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with. Your sunken concrete issue will likely return if you don’t couple polyjacking with proper drainage to prevent future soil movement and sinking.

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.
