"I called and the technician came right away. My chandelier had dropped down and I thought it would come crashing down any minute. He determined it wasn't actually an emergency and a very easy fix-turns out the kids had been playing with the key that controlled a mechanism that automatically lowers and raises the chandelier. We just moved in so we had no idea what this key did. It literally just took a turn of the key to make the chandelier go back up. Even though he came on an emergency call, he didn't charge me! It's hard to find nice honest people like this these days. I will definitely use him in the future for any electrical work I need done!"

"stimate was detailed, and accurate. The experience with Kitchen and Bath World was excellent. We met with four companies that did this work. K&B was not the cheapest but fit in our budget. Micheal was excellent at designing the project and helped us select fixtures. The presentation was detailed and accurate. Financial terms were spelled out. Everything went according to plan. Michael and the owner came to check on the progress frequently. We are more than satisfied with the final results and have received many compliments. Three years later, I am still in aw as to how the family room and bath rooms look. This company took  out dated rooms and  made them modern and beautiful.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"After my first job I had JD Electrical did I called back asking about home audio installed. My speakers were all wired into the walls and ceilings making a great home theatre/party room. Even did some outdoor speakers for when I’m working outside. Once again they came and did a great job. More future work to come"

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

There are a variety of hooks available you can use to hang your Christmas lights on concrete without drilling unsightly holes. Attaching hooks on gutters or using construction adhesive in a caulk gun are two options that work very well for getting hooks to stay up all season.

The light that your ceiling light gives off will largely depend on the type of light bulb that’s installed in it. If you’re looking to brighten a dark room, LED bulbs are the way to go. LED bulbs will emit the most light while also using less energy than standard bulbs. They can last up to 50,000 hours and will need to be replaced much less often than standard bulbs.

In this category, homeowners provide materials. Some installers may offer advice on suitable options.

Solar landscape lighting is the easiest type of outdoor lighting to install. Because these lights don’t require being hardwired to an electrical connection, installation consists of simply staking the lights into the ground, with no wires required. Solar lights are a good option for houses without outdoor outlets or for areas that are much farther from the house itself.

First of all, don’t shop for bargain lights—often, you’ll end up with a faulty or broken strand, full of dead bulbs or less-than-luminous brightness. Choose quality lights that will last you many years—LED lights have been known to last as long as 100,000 hours. Second, plan ahead and purchase lights for next year’s Christmas during this year’s post-holiday sales. Finally, have a vision and a plan—if you know the measurements of your home, including any windows, doors, and outside bushes you wish to light up, you should be able to only purchase the necessary lights and not more than you need.
