We have a background in decorative concrete processes including stamping, staining and engraving. "Serena Staats went completely out of her way to help get this job planned. During all the their hard work, Serena, Bo, Nigel Staats and Noah were all very professional and very down to earth. They all have incredible work ethic. They were hired to fix our cracking foundation. We had two cracks. One was more severe than the other. For them to get to the cracks they had to take out our old concrete patio and dig down to the footing. They fixed the cracks inside and out, and then put in a new concrete patio. They filled in three basement windows, replaced two other basement windows, installed two window wells, installed drainage pipes for gutter run off and also added fill around the foundation to create a positive grade or slope so that water runs away from our foundation. They did great work. We will definitely hire them again for any future concrete needs."

The time it takes to build a pool—and dig out the area—varies based on the pool size and type. A professional excavator will take between four and eight hours to dig a pool. You can dig 60 to 80 linear feet by hand per day depending on the depth. Digging a 100-foot trench by hand will take you two work days, but it can take longer if you have heavy or rocky soil. If you’re digging a deep trench or one that’s over 100 feet, consider renting a mechanical trencher, such as a walk-behind or ride-on, or calling a pro for help. 

You can bury underground electrical wire six inches deep—but only if you use a rigid metal electrical conduit. For rigid, non-metallic conduits, bury the wire at least 12 inches deep. If using an underground feeder cable rated for direct burial, you'll need to place it at least 18 inches deep, as it has no conduit for extra protection.

The cost to dig a trench ranges from $400 to $1,200 per 100 linear feet, depending on the soil, depth, and width. Plan to spend $5 to $12 per linear foot for trenching (it’ll be on the higher end if you have rocky soil). Renting a trencher costs $100 to $250 per hour, depending on the type of trencher.
