"It was a pleasure to do business with Westside Home Improvements. Alan came and assessed what I had asked him to get done. I needed imperfections repaired to drywall in two bathrooms both bathrooms needed to be re painted, install exhaust fan and light fixture in bathroom, install hardware for doors to the bathrooms and sanding and smoothing the drywall imperfections as well. And to re install a pedestal sink. Paul was the person who did the job and he was great. He was on time and stayed until I was satisfied with everything. Very professional and courteous. It was a pleasure to have him around. All the work was done to my expectations. And I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again or to recommend them to friends and family. Great Job!!!!"

"We worked briefly with Rich (engineer) who helped design the basement and Remodeling Concepts handled all the permits which was great! The project moved on schedule and there team is clearly a "well oiled machine". The experience was very good and we were always comfortable! The guys would inform us daily of there goals and report to us every day before leaving. The project was always presentable and clean. The quality of work is excellent! These guys were wonderful.."

"Bob and the Modern Remodeling team did a great job in the renovation of a townhouse I had recently purchased that was in disrepair. They gutted the kitchen and bathrooms, laid new flooring in every room (bathrooms (tile), kitchen (tile), living areas (hardwood), and bedrooms (carpet)), installed all new cabinets, lighting, and appliances in the kitchen. They were responsive and easy to work with, and I would use them again for future projects!"

"My plumber kenny came down to unclog my drain pipes from my upstairs sink to my downstairs sink. He had come to my house a few times before and he was ALWAYS nice, professional, and thorough about his work. He’s superb at what he does and is an overall greatly knowledgeable plumber. He communicates well and keeps his promises on what he’s going to do, when he will arrive, and I am COMPLETELY satisfied with all of his hard work. Thank you so much Kenny!! This is a great company to fix your plumbing needs! Would definitely recommend 10/10"

"

I left a message for Charles on an answering service LATE on a Saturday evening after I searched Angie's List for a reliable plumber. I expected a call back the next day to set up an appointment for the coming week but I was pleasantly mistaken. I received a call back from Charles Harris the owner of Spirit & Truth Plumbing & Heating asking if Sunday morning would be okay. On Sunday morning Charles called before arriving at our house. He was very good with our kids and especially our pets. We have two dogs which are very large and the younger of the two is still a puppy so he was very interested with what Charles was doing under the sink. Charles took it all in stride, was very professional and understanding of a house full of kids and pets and completed the job in less than two hours.

I would absolutely recommend Spirit & Truth Plumbing & Heating to anyone needing a plumber. As for myself, Charles Harris has got a customer for life.

Thanks again Charles!

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Try to tighten the clevis crew and adjust the lift rod if your sink stopper won’t stay up. Sometimes your screws became too loose over time, and as a result, there wasn’t enough resistance to keep the sink stopper up. If a damaged lift rod is the cause of the problem, you will need to replace it with a new rod.

Replacing the countertop with another that fits the same size and cut out shouldn't take longer than four to five hours. The installation job entails removing the plumbing connections, unscrewing the old sink connectors, removing the countertop, placing and gluing the new countertop, and connecting the plumbing hookups.

Because plumbing repairs are wide-ranging in scope, job completion time may vary from a few hours or several days. Simple jobs such as clearing a clog, replacing a garbage disposal, or repairing a toilet will only take an hour or two. Large jobs that require digging up yards and checking pipes may take upward of one or two weeks.

There are several types of sink drain stoppers, including pull-out, twist-and-pull, and pop-up. Pull-out sink stoppers can be removed by pulling on the stopper until it comes out of the drain. A twist-and-pull design requires lifting then turning the stopper to lock it in an open position and the opposite action (turning, then pressing down) to close it. A pop-up sink stopper works by pushing down the drain cover to open or close the passageway.

Expect your stainless steel sink to last between 20 and 30 years on average. When well cared for, you can use your sink much longer, particularly if you protect it from rust. A new stainless steel sink costs anywhere from $200 to $1,500 including installation, so it's in your best interest to take extra care to ensure its longevity.
