Kitchen is small nominal 12X15 floor with small pantry opened with bi-fold doors with stackable apartment size washer/dryer. Estimate contract was $2,468 for removal of two layers of flooring, patch and prepare present subfloor. On arrival, contractor suggested removing only 1 layer and leaving original existing layer. Pointed out existing floor had squeaks and contract called for prep work to include all previous layers (2) with "Patch and repair of present subfloor". On removal of all previous flooring, contractor found uneven cement residue that (in his judgement} would be difficult to remove and prepare for new vinyl installation. While there was a phone discussion between installer (Scott) and Owner (Michael), it was decided to install new 3/8 inch plywood veneer over existing underlayment at no further cost to me. This, I thought was very generous as it was not specified to be done in the contract. In addition to the kitchen floor, hardwood floors were installed in a large area of living and dining room. The work exceeded our expectations and will return to Ted's when additional flooring needs are required. Thank you Michael, Scott and David (the "A team" from Ted's Flooring) for our beautiful floors!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ny/albany/ted%E2%80%99s-flooring-and-interior-design-reviews-307546.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Havenhouse Upholstery","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"NY","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Lois P."},"reviewBody":"Above excellent service! Also, his policy is if he has any leftover gelcoat from a previous repair he made on someone's boat, he won't charge you for the material if there is a gelcoat that will work for your repair. Luckily, he had some left over gelcoat, although not a perfect match, from a previous repair that he used to repair mine. Gelcoat is very expensive and a quart is the minimum size if he needs to get it for your repair. Mike did a good job and I am satisfied with the results. I would use him again and would recommend him to others. If there was a weak point, I would say that it would be that there needs to be better communication from him. I called him on a Thursday to inquire about the repair and he told me he was going to start it that day and would call me later that day to let me know how it went. Well, I didn't get a call back and I had to call him the following Monday to find out if it was done, which it was. Mike told me when I called that he had just finished it up. Repair was done to garage door. I hired another company to completely redo the project with a new door at the same price as the repair had cost. I was quoted a price to replace the garage door by Precision for $600 more than I paid a better company.
It went extremely well. The timely and professional job of installing vinyl planking in my basement. We are very pleased with the results. The team of two removed the old carpet and disposed of it. They moved the furniture in order to install the flooring. They did exactly what the said they...

FAQs for leather and vinyl repair projects in Freehold, NY
Whether the leather repair is worth it depends on the extent of the damage, the cost to repair, and the value of the leather item. If the leather is part of an item that’s very expensive to replace, then attempting to repair it may be worth it. Also, if the leather piece holds great sentimental value, it’s worth restoration or repair, if possible.
Most leather sofa repairs cost between $100 and $400. A small repair, like a single scratch or tear, may cost between about $100 and $150. However, larger, more complex repairs that may require total reupholstery can cost up to $4,000, depending on the type of leather, the build of the sofa, and the time required to complete the work. A leather repair specialist will provide an estimate based on the specific project and its damage.
Leather patches can last anywhere from two to 20 years, depending on use, maintenance, and the environment the leather is in. The longevity of the leather repair also depends on the nature of the original damage and the repairs required. Consult a leather repair specialist about how to make your leather fix last as long as possible.
It’s possible to repair damaged leather as long as the damage is not too severe. Professional leather repair specialists can fill, smooth, and refinish damage like scratches, cracks, and other damage by color matching the rest of the leather. Leather repair pros can evaluate the damage and recommend a plan for repair or replacement. If the leather is on furniture or another item that’s difficult or impossible to replace, repair is the best option, even if the repair does not match perfectly.
When deciding whether to repair your leather furniture or not, consider a few advantages and disadvantages:
Pros
Less expensive than buying a new piece
Extends the life of the leather before replacement is necessary
Makes your leather item look like new
Some repairs are relatively easy
Cons
Some repairs may be costly
Damage may not be repairable
Repairs may not blend perfectly with the original leather
May need to leave the piece with a repair expert
