Wasps dislike a great many essential oils, such as clove, geranium, and lemongrass. Combine a few drops of each in a cup and place this cup outside to repel wasps from your immediate surroundings. 

Since fleas are so tiny, the best way to find them is with a very thorough search. Focus on two specific areas. First, look where your pets spend lots of time sleeping or playing, which is where fleas are likely to linger. Second, look at ground-level fabrics like carpet, furniture upholstery and similar spots where it’s easy for fleas to hide. Besides checking your pet’s fur, you can use two other tests to find fleas in your home: the white sock test and the water and lamp test.

To perform the white sock test, simply put on a pair of long white socks and drag your feet along the carpets in your home. Fleas will gravitate to the heat created by your socks. The water and lamp test involves placing a bowl of water on the floor and shining a light over it. Fleas will then be attracted to the light and land in the bowl of water.

It’s best to kill bed bugs on your mattress as quickly as possible, isolate any potentially infested belongings, and continue sleeping there. If you move to other locations, you could transfer bed bugs or draw them into new rooms as they search for you, making the problem worse. Consider sleeping in clothes that cover as much of your body as possible to avoid further bites.

On average, fleas can leave for about 2 to 3 months in your carpet. However, if they have access to a host for feeding, they can return to the cozy carpet and live much longer. That’s why it’s essential to remove fleas from your carpet quickly before they take up permanent residence.
