"I contacted Jimmy for a roof estimate before closing on the house.
Jimmy sent me back the estimate in a timely manner which helped me get the proper credit.
After closing, I interviewed a few other contractors and decided to go with Jimmy because I felt comfortable
with the way he communicated his recommendations and his promptness.
As with any job, there were a few things that came up during the renovation but I must say, the level of communication was
everything I could ask for.
I was especially glad I picked Jimmy because I reside in NYC (3 hours away) and couldn't be present all the time.  Needless to say,  good communication was very important.
Jimmy finished the job within the time frame promised.   I asked him to do a couple of other things after completion
and he finished those in time for my new tenants move date.
Though I didn't gave Jimmy a specific budget.  He did meet my expectations with regard to the budget I set for myself.
Overall, I am very happy with the results and will most definitely contact him first for any future jobs."

"They were reasonably priced for the amount of siding work that was requested in the bid. They and their team Jack who did the work was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was a very hard worker and completed the job in only 2 days and did a spotless clean up when he was finished with the job. You will not be disappointed if you hire their team of professionals."

Basement Remodel questions, answered by experts

Installing a bathroom in a basement isn’t a project for most homeowners. Many parts—plumbing, electricity, and carpentry—go into this project, each requiring expert-level knowledge and tools. One miscalculation can lead to very expensive repairs. Plus, some homeowner’s insurance might not pay for damages caused by a homeowner DIYing this project. You can protect yourself by allowing the pros to complete this job for you.

Some older homes have toilets in the basement to combat sewage backups. This type of toilet, also known as a Pittsburgh potty, acted as a safety valve over the incoming sewer line. If a line backed up, it would back up into the toilet because it was the lowest fixture in the home, keeping it out of sight and away from the finished areas of the house.

Basement toilets were also used by workers with messy jobs, like those who worked in coal mines or steel mills. This way, they could clean up and avoid tracking dirt through their home.

Adding an extension or addition to your home costs more than a loft conversion in all but the rarest cases where the home's structural integrity is lacking. Because a home addition requires a new foundation section or significant structural upgrades to handle a cantilevered portion, the cost compared to almost any loft conversion is significantly greater for the same square footage.

It is common for a contractor to ask for a down payment before starting a project, especially for jobs that require purchasing materials and equipment or hiring a crew. The deposit amount can range from 10% to 50% of the total job cost. While a request for up to 50% is not unusual, a contractor should not ask for more than that, and you should never pay for a project in full before the work has begun. To protect yourself, always discuss payment terms before starting and have a written contract that outlines the project timeline and expectations. Additionally, be sure to hire reputable contractors and check their licensing and insurance before the project begins.

You can paint your ceiling or install a drywall ceiling if the ceiling is unfinished, as they take up less headroom than drop ceilings.

If there are pipes in the way of ceiling installation, you can do one of two things: reroute the pipes or adjust the installation to fit, which will cost extra.
