"It worked out okay, except that I would have anticipated, the cost just gets more. They always find those things, so it starts at $99 and end up spending $300 or $400. People tell me they always find mold inside your air duct, so they have to put a chemical. They call it a total cleaning as opposed to the regular cleaning which I paid for. What they did seemed to have worked. I have suspicions about when they find other things. "

"The experience has been but utmost professional, experienced and professional employees, detail-oriented, within my business, they work well with high volumes of work. Easy to get a hold of, good communication. Past contractors haven't been as good with communication, those guys lasted 2 months before I fired them and got Mia. I got her through a reference, and it was exactly what was promised and I would love to reference review her back! Extremely reasonable prices, works with you (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly payments). I put my house on the market (my health club closed for 5 months), because of how bad its condition was (tenants had animals inside and they left it filthy), I got no offers, I got this company on there (6 crew members, 6 hours), they cleaned it up, within one week of them being there, I got an offer."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

There are a few cleaning products that you should never use on carpets because you may accidentally ruin them. Do not use bleach, dish soap, laundry detergent, and abrasive cleaners on carpet. For more guidance on products to avoid, consult a local carpet cleaning company for expert advice.

The fastest way to soak up water in carpet is to use a wet/dry shop vac to draw out as much water as possible. Afterward, apply firm pressure to towels to sop up any remaining moisture, then liberally sprinkle baking soda over the carpet and let it sit for at least an hour before vacuuming it up. You can speed up the process by opening windows, using blower fans to create airflow, and running a dehumidifier.

While you might get away with once-monthly vacuuming in rooms you hardly use, it’s not ideal in other parts of your home. Your living spaces will look untidy, and leaving all that dirt lying around is not the most hygienic. Plus, the longer abrasive debris sits on your surfaces, the more chance of scratches or damage to carpet fibers.

No, you shouldn’t let dog diarrhea dry before cleaning it. While cleaning the stain when it's dried sounds less messy, it can cause more harm than good. Old stains have a chance to dry into your carpet, and the smell can go deeper into the fibers. This makes removing old dog poop more of a headache to clean than dealing with diarrhea while it’s fresh.

Cleaning the carpet in a standard-size room should take about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the square footage. If your bedroom carpet has serious stains or wear patterns, it may take longer to treat it. An experienced carpet cleaner will likely move faster through this task than if you DIY it with a rented carpet cleaner.
