"Installation crew worked very hard to complete the installation in a single day. We walked the property and discussed everything that was not defined in the initial plan. The final plumbing and setup steps were done quickly and efficiently. The crew tested each zone and adjusted the sprinkler heads for max coverage."

"At the end of July during the hottest days of the year, I lost BOTH A/C zones at the same time in my home. Needless to say, it was very hot in the house. I called Orange County Mechanical for an estimate after seeing exceptionally high reviews from both Angie's List and Google reviews. The owner, Ed O'Hara, came over the next day, gave me an estimate and literally "walked me through" everything that was needed to do to get the two zones back up, answered all questions, and the complete cost. Since I had a "builders" A/C system over 15 years old, it used freon which is no longer available along with two very inefficient condensers. I needed to replace the whole A/C system. He didn't try to sell things that were not needed, just what was needed to have a practical high efficiency two zone A/C system at an excellent price. Before he had left, he took the time to check the A/C condensers to see if he could get them up and running, at least until he could install the new system. Fortunately, he was able to get one of them running just enough to cool some of the house and he didn't want anything for it. It two days to remove the old equipment from the attic and outside and replace it with a new higher efficient two zone Trane A/C system. He put down floor protectors everywhere, left everything clean upon completion, removed all the old equipment and debris and swept the driveway clean when they were finished. Ed and his workers were very professional and polite throughout the whole time they were installing and removing equipment. Obviously he takes pride in his work and I highly recommend this company to all my friends and family and will be using him again. A job well done!"

"Tom and Matt arrived in a timely fashion, completed the work efficiently, and cleaned up once the job was done. They went above and beyond to ensure the install was done well and were professional in every way. We are very happy with the services provided and fully intend to use them again in the future. "The owner, Frank, was excellent and professional. Also his guys were very efficient by doing the job. They installed a brand new furnace and the job was immaculately done. they came to do the job when promised and finished in a timely fashion. The owner, himself, stayed at the job site after installation to make sure the equipment function good. they also call back after certain time to make sure that everything was good with the system. This is a company that do the job and do not disappear. They care about their customers. I recommend them and will keep using them."

"Mark did a fantastic job of installing the new dishwasher. I'm in a 70-year-old building, with 35-year-old kitchen counters. Getting the dishwasher to fit into the space and run properly required a lot of imagination, and Mark figured it out. He's a professional and his work is excellent. While he was working on the dishwasher, he also upgraded some of the kitchen plumbing, so now we're in great shape. He's a real professional!"

"Although there was a delay of 2 weeks in getting started, once begun, Patrick and his assistant DJ worked non stop to complete the job.  They installed shelving, moved 2 electrical outlets, phone jack and repaired and painted the wall.  Their workmanship was precise and very professional. |In addition, both men were pleasant, courteous and helpful. In short, they did and excellent job and I'd be happy to have them do work for me again."

"Aziz came and provided a reasonable estimate and  was able to start within a few days. He purchased all the supplies and gave me the receipts for reimbursements. He keeps a tight ship with his crew and hires people he can trust which is key to ensuring continuity and completion of a job. He is proactive in making sure everything is in tip top shape and gives blunt orders to his employees if they do not pay attention to detail. He has good oversight of his crew and did a great job fixing the mishaps the last guy left behind. I will be using him for my upcoming projects."

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

In some cases, it’s more cost-effective in the long run to replace a garbage disposal, but it depends on the specific issue you’re having and the age of your disposal. You should ask a garbage disposal repair tech for a quote to repair your appliance and then see if it would be more worthwhile to replace it. Additionally, garbage disposals last for around 15 years, so if you know your appliance is reaching that age, it’s likely better to pay for a new garbage disposal rather than sink money into repairs.

Garbage disposals are durable appliances that usually last at least eight years as long as you clean and maintain them. It’s relatively rare for a garbage disposal to break on its own, as most malfunctions happen due to user errors, like overstuffing the grinding compartment or damaging the blades by trying to dispose of metal or bone. Eventually, cracks or leaks could develop in the unit, which requires a full replacement.
