Customers say: Quick response

"The work turned out great. The joints are tight and lined up well. The corners were curved to add a nice touch so the pavers had to be cut along with cutting the smaller brick border bricks. I had about a 2 foot slope of land under the patio and a large slope for the path and step area. This work was done by 4 guys over two hot July days. The bobcat helped dig and rough level it. A lot of material was moved around along with at least 4 pallets of pavers and the blocks for the steps. To finish it off, they put down top soil, grass seed and hay was placed down to finish the job off very well."

"The gentlemen were very polite, explained what they were going to do and how they could use a substance to ameliorate the smell of oil that would be present as the old tank was cut apart to be removed. They warned me about the noise involved in cutting apart the old tank. They thoroughly swept up the floor and cleaned up the area before departing. They were efficient and professional.

Introducing Concraised, Leveling your concrete so it’s as even and great looking as the day it was poured.\n\nAt Concraised we use the Foamjacking method to level & repair sunken concrete surfaces. We serve homeowners, residential and commercial property managements & municipalities.\n\nHow it works:\nConcrete slab lifting works like this:\n\n1) Injection of environmentally-safe foam under the existing concrete\n 2) Foam expands to fill the void at the same time compressing the soil underneath\n 3) Slab is raised completely back to level\n\nConcraised, making great first impressions, one perfect walkway at a time.

"We had a large concrete retaining wall fail on the rear of my property, which is further complicated by the fact that this wall was supporting our large deck. I did not know what to do nor know who to call. Home Advisor matched me up with Luis & Sons. Luis came out the next day and had the cheapest quote of the other 2 companies that examined the property. I cannot express into words how grateful I am that Luis & Sons responded to the job. After I signed off on the estimate, Luis was there the next day to brace the deck and assure me that everything was going to be OK. The project took about 3 weeks to complete and was done with quality and care. The best thing to come out of this entire ordeal was that I found a quality and trustworthy contractor in Luis & Sons. I have already consulted with Luis on other projects that need to be done and I can safely say that I will be a loyal customer for life. Thank you Luis!!!!"

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can cut up a box spring., but you’ll need to do so in layers. You can clear the fabric and fluff away to reveal the springs before removing them as well.

Your typical household tools will not cut a metal pipe. To cut a metal pipe, you’d need more specialized tools like a pipe cutter or circular saw. Do not attempt to use these tools without taking proper safety precautions and wearing safety gear. It’s usually safer to let a pro cut a metal pipe, especially if you’re not confident in your skills with a heavy-duty saw.

The average cost for a welding project is about $300, with typical costs ranging from $125 to $490. However, prices can be as low as $125 for very small jobs or exceed $1,200 for large or complex projects. Welders typically charge an hourly rate between $65 and $150, depending on their experience, and many charge a minimum fee to cover overhead and travel expenses. The total cost is influenced by several factors, including labor, the cost of materials like metal rods and shielding gas, the type of metal being welded, the project's size and complexity, and your geographic location. For a precise quote, it's best to ask a local welder for an estimate based on your specific project.

Yes, but you’ll need reliable steel-cutting tools and safety gear to get started. Shipping containers are typically around ¾ inch thick, so it’s entirely possible to cut through them, but experience and the right equipment are very important. When possible, try to get a container as close to the size you want it as possible.

This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.

The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.
