"Joes team was recommended to me through a friend who does home construction and I wanted to connect with a company they would use for their personal outdoor home improvement project. It was also extremely important that I felt comfortable to voice my concerns and ask questions when necessary. The leader also needed to respect and honor their team as hard working individuals. Joe was kind and extremely patient with all of my questions. In a short period of time he helped me become more knowledgeable with the steps that were being followed to ensure customer satisfaction. The following tasks were completed: - Removed/installed a new patio paver walkway - Installed a fire pit with seating wall and columns - & a fully paved area by the side of the house leading into the backyard near The job was started on a Tuesday and completed by Saturday. Watching the crew work was like watching a time lapse video because they moved so quickly. If you are looking for a company that stands by their product, their schedule, and their pricing then call Joe."

"Yarek and his crew were extremely professional, and hard working! He had great ideas, and plans for us. What started out a project for just our steps, turned into a new driveway, and back patio. Great workmanship, and work ethic. I even recommended Konop to a family member, who they just finished a project for her. Great company!"

"I am so happy I could cry. I'm over the moon with the phenomenal mason walking path and garden landscaping job that John Starkie and his crew did for our home. It was an amazing transformation for our front yard. They were professional, hard working, and dedicated to completing the job in an efficient and timely manner; it only took two days. I highly recommend their services!"

"Excellent company to hire. James is easy to talk to. He made suggestions that enhance the look of my driveway and front of my house. Raised and paved the driveway, repaired the stucco and reshaped the planting box by the driveway. A very professional and clean job. My driveway is no longer flooded. Thank you James and crew. Paving Services questions, answered by experts

You’ll first need to install a base underneath your pavers for extra stability and drainage. Otherwise, the pavers can sink into the ground, and you’ll have to reinstall them. Use a base gravel layer of 4 to 6 inches for walkways and 10 to 12 inches for driveways. Compact your gravel layer every 2 to 4 inches so it’s nice and solid. After you install your gravel base, apply a 1-inch layer of sand on top.

Yes, it is possible to pave over an existing driveway, but whether it's the right choice depends on several factors. If the underlying structure of your current driveway is still strong, concrete or asphalt resurfacing can be a cost-effective way to prolong its life. However, if your driveway has significant issues like potholes, deep cracks, or other inconsistencies, it is best to remove the old driveway and start from scratch. Key factors to consider include the current driveway's condition, the compatibility of the new material, the added thickness and height, and the necessary surface preparation.

Paving is a part of hardscaping, so all paving is hardscaping, but not all hardscaping is paving. Paving involves laying down concrete or asphalt, while hardscaping can also include the use of paving stones, bricks, gravel, wood, and more. Hardscape features that involve paving are considered permanent and will increase your property taxes, while some other hardscaping features—like those involving bricks, gravel, and paving stones—will not affect property taxes. Paving also typically requires a permit, while hardscaping features considered temporary will not.

The material that’s best for your private road depends on your property, the climate in your area, and your personal preferences. Gravel is an affordable option, but some homeowners don’t like how it looks. It can be a pain to remove snow from, and it requires more ongoing maintenance than asphalt or concrete. However, while these other options require less maintenance and make snow removal a breeze, they’re more expensive and will need repairs from time to time. Ultimately, you’ll have to choose the road material that suits you and your property best.

Maintaining a driveway depends on its material. For concrete and asphalt, it's best to clean the surface thoroughly twice a year with a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove accumulated dirt and debris. Sealing the driveway is crucial to protect it from water damage and freeze-thaw cycles. Before applying a sealant, pressure wash the surface to remove any loose sealant, dirt, or stains, as sealing over them will trap them. Any cracks or expansion joints should be filled with a flexible polyurethane caulk or asphalt sealer. In colder climates, use sand instead of salt for de-icing. Sand helps melt snow and ice without accelerating the freeze-thaw process, which can cause cracks.
