"We hired Heartland Village General Contracting and Handyman Services to execute a full, top-to-bottom renovation of our bathroom at the beginning of March of 2026. This was a major project involving demolition , new flooring, updated electrical and plumbing to accommodate a new layout of the bathroom. The company manager/owner, Harvey, was excellent. "Our front stoop was in a state of disrepair and needed replacement. My husband and I envisioned classic red brick steps (Glen-Gery 52-DD) with traditional black wrought iron railings. Many prospective contractors, most admittedly having little experience building brick stoops, were reluctant to take on this project and did not answer basic questions regarding materials and construction. (Glen-Gery 53-DD) The pavers have multi-color tones and a markedly rustic appearance. Joe offered creative ideas that not only would be beautiful to behold but would be built to required standards and be protective of the home. In keeping with this principle we decided to have them also replace the old painted patio with Nicolock Granite City Stone Ridge XL. The gray tones of the new patio contrast beautifully with the red brick paver border that Joe suggested, and, as he explained, the new patio will offer protection against water penetrating the foundation of the house. These men know their craft! It is a pleasure to recommend Masonry Hardscapes, and we will call upon them should we need masonry services in the future."
