My home is a 1927 Craftsman that needed quite a bit of work. I hired Harold based on his honesty and responsiveness in helping me evaluate the first property. True to form, his estimate and ultimate cost to repaint the entire interior, repair and sheetrock floors and ceilings, refinish and replace hardwood floors, completely remodel a bathroom, rewire and install light fixtures, match original woodworking, install cabinetry, windows, and appliances, and even assist with installing new furniture, were more than reasonable. Better yet, the quality of his work was of the highest caliber. He has restored and improved a lovely home, and I am so thankful! I have to say that most of all, I am so happy with Harold's professionalism and diligence. Not every contractor is known for staying on the job and completing it on time. Especially in my situation, where I am a single woman trying to restore a second home when I live out of state--I assumed I would have difficulty in getting any contractor to be present and complete the job on time. However, this was never a problem. Harold was always there, was immediately responsive, and never slacked off when I wasn't there. "After emailing the company for a quote request to perform regular maintenance on the stone retaining walls for my house, they got back to me about a week later explaining what type of maintenance would be appropriate for our home. As a second thought I asked if they had looked at the front steps as well and they got back to me the next day with a quote for repair. After receiving the ok for the repointing the company began work on the property. They worked independently. The head mason made himself available to us on Saturday to demonstrate the need for repairing the front steps. This was a very effective way to show us that work was necessary and we appreciated their commitment. The head of the company also stopped by on Saturday to make sure that the work was proceeding in line with our expectations and see if there was anything else they could help us with. The stone work was completed over 3 days and the gutters were done the same week. Overall we were very happy with the level of service provided and the professionalism shown by all representatives of the company. We would be happy to work with them in the future."
